I'm moving to the Seattle are for a job and need to find temporary housing starting on 9/26. It's just me and my wife. A room in a house would be fine. We're quite, nonsmokers and don't drink or do drugs. No pets either, not that we would mind if the homeowner has pets. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. ETA I'll be doing hospice nursing on the norther end of King County.

Last year, the King County Board of Health approved a new rule allowing additional safety inspections and adding a second sign at establishments with unresolved labor violations such as withholding pay, forced overtime, or limiting use of paid sick leave. The reasoning is, a business with unpaid fines could also have unsafe food practices. [...] Based on initial data, between 10 to 20 businesses within King County are out of compliance under the new rule. "The businesses here that we're talking about are those that have failed to comply with payments imposed by a final order, settlement, or court decision with no pending appeal," Orr said. ~ Not allegations. Final orders, settlements, nothing left to appeal, and still unpaid. Ten to twenty kitchens in this county are stiffing the people who cook your food.

This is such a specific ask and if I can’t get a photo I’ll visit SAM again soon (Seattle art museum for non locals , we have SAM & TAM , Tacoma art museum , it’s cute …in my personal head canon they’re married masc butch lesbians😋 lol) Do you have a photo where you can see the Symphony and SAM ? Do you maybe have many photos ? Specifically does anyone have photos of the rock doves in front of the symphony at the garden of remembrance rock sculpture right in front of the orchestra where you can see the Seattle art museum in the background? I hope I’m describing this right if not no worries I just need a reference photo for a painting and I haven’t found a good one online I want to paint two rock doves doing a mating dance at the garden of remembrance in front of the symphony orchestra with the art museum in the background because that’s where my girlfriend and I had our first date and we saw two doves do a mating dance and that’s how I knew I wanted her to be my girlfriend and so I really want to capture it in a painting “a little birdie told me”

And, heck, even if you don't read it in time, come to 507 Taproom anyway and meet some new guys, make some new friends. Happy to answer any questions about Tough Guy Book Club in the comments here, or DM me on Reddit. A disclaimer, though... I'm helping out the Yelm chapter with a little promotion, not a Yelm local myself. I'm the chapter leader for the Denver chapter, and formerly a chapter officer for the San Francisco chapter, so I won't claim to have any local Yelm credibility ;)

“Tacoma has a rich heritage of music that dates back all the way to the early 1900s. But what happened to all the folk instruments? The early 1900s was full of them. Bagpipes, banjos, accordions, harmonicas, ukuleles, all these instruments had a much bigger presence in the early days of the downtown Tacoma music scene.” https://thetacomaledger.com/2013/05/14/the-history-of-tacomas-music-entertainment/

I went to the DMV today to renew my license and was turned away at the counter because of rcw46.20.041 . I'm specifically using crutches because of a foot sprain that doesn't require a cast but is only partially load bearing. The DMV employee cited RCW46.20.041 as the reason he was refusing to renew my license. He told me my options were to come in and re-take the full driving test in my current condition or to wait until I'm fully healed and could walk without crutches to have a regular renewal. The employee did clarify after a question that he would even turn me away if I was limping. I was curious if other people read the text of the RCW and think that the DMV employee's interpretation matches the situation.

Hey yall! Does anyone have any tattoo artist recommendations for someone looking for a dragon tattoo? I can’t pin an example of what I’m wanting to get but I’m wanting three western dragons flying across my chest and up over my deltoid. I’d appreciate pictures of your (sick as fuck) dragon tattoo and who did it/where. Also, if anyone has any cool sword tattoos I wouldn’t mind recs there because I want that after my dragon tattoo…

So I've been wondering what's up with Mopop nonprofit activity in the last few years. They've had a few layoffs in the last year alone. I also got curious and started looking at annual reports, the institution's history, community outreach, and executive leadership salaries, etc etc... I'm not calculator tycoon, but it looks like the CEO is making more than twice the amount of any other executive leaders in the company (and local museum industry) and receiving bonuses while people are being laid off (the 2 layoffs in one year coincided with the CEO doubling her salary in the same year), education programs have been cut and no raises have been given to any hourly employees in years . And their ticket prices are high AF.... Compared to similar institutions who bring in more revenue than this one, the CEO's salary is even more than theirs! Their assets are huge while the revenue is ... ??? Has anyone else seen instances of this in Seattle? When does this sort of excessive salary become unethical? Can someone smarter than me tell me how nonprofits can be held accountable for something like this? ---->>>Here is their Nonprofit - Public Info
