Looking for a dry cleaner that can clean my wool slacks for the upcoming season that won't cost as much as buying a new pair of pants. I live on Capitol Hill but open to adjacent neighborhoods to get better deals. Heck, I am in SeaTac, Renton, and Des Moines often enough, I'll take a sound-end recommendation too.

Hi, I'm coming up on the end of my fixed term lease at a very mediocre apartment with something else lined up. I texted to ask my landlord where she would like me to deposit proof of hiring a cleaning company and our keys after the lease ends. She is now convinced I must turn in an Intent to Vacate in order to idk,, leave? At the end of my lease I was unable to find anything in the lease that says it is required, and to my understanding that is the only way it would be needed since I believe my lease is fixed term. I am still willing to turn in the Intent to Vacate, but I would just be doing it tomorrow instead of "ASAP" Attached are pictures of the lease term and the law im referencing. What do yall think?
My kid just passed his license program and unfortunately between finishing the road test and going to the DoL for his license, he broke his left foot. So his foot is in a removable walking boot, but he’s not supposed to put weight on it yet. So we go in to Lynnwood for his already-scheduled appointment on a knee scooter and the agent says they won’t give him a license because they can’t be sure he can operate a car - so he has to take a state-supervised road/skills test to demonstrate he can operate a car safely. Groan… so we schedule the road test for a couple weeks out and return. When we get back for the skills test, still on a crutch, a different agent rejects us again because my kid won’t be able to utilize his left foot during the test. I’m like… what?? Since when is a left foot part of a road test?? I try to get understanding - what happens if a person has a permanently disabled left foot? What then? They say - “that’s different.” After some back and forth and talking with a supervisor, no go. Neither me or my kid want to wait until he’s completely out of his boot. They gave us another skills test appointment for when he can walk in the boot. Please help me understand. Is there some sort of weird policy the DoL has to make life difficult for injured people? Why would they be concerned he can’t actively use his left foot?
I’ve noticed for at least the past several months a Tacoma fire bucket truck has been working on low-voltage / communications cables on the utility poles in my alley. Do they have their own network that they maintain versus having a low-voltage / cabling vendor handle it? Having worked in the industry, I just found it shocking to see Tacoma Fire working on low voltage cabling. 🤔🤷
The photos don’t do it any justice, and it’s hard to get a nice detailed photo with the gate shut But next time you’re driving down Lake, take a look at the beautiful work they have done over the last couple weeks.
Sorry if this is a redundant question, I know that people have asked about veterinarians here before. I just wanted to specifically know about north end, as that’s who I’ve been going to. I’ve really liked them, but I’m curious about how their prices compare to other hospitals that are equally high quality in their quality of care and friendliness. We’re about to adopt two kittens with special needs who may need more advanced care, and while yes we can afford to keep going to North End, if there’s somewhere that’s similar but a little less expensive I’d love to know! Thanks!
Any car wash that does interior vacuuming and cleaning ? All I see are external ones.
We're looking at some moderate-to-large jobs in the next few months, and we've been burned on substandard work in the past. Does anyone have a recommendation for specific service providers or a trustworthy general contractor for: Built-in Deck repair and replacement Carpet removal and Flooring install Electrical inspection and repair Outdoor tile removal and replacement Just going through Google and AngiesList has had some real dodgy results. If you have any recommendations I would be very appreciative.
It's been years since we've had a Breezy Town pizza and my husband and I still dream about it (yes I read something about "Breezy Town style" pizza at Windy City but I've only ever had mid pizza from them). Does anyone have the recipe for their crust? Or has anyone else gone down the rabbit hole to try and recreate it? Is it sourdough based? I'm at the start of my mission to DIY it but wanted to check first!
