This is a bizarre coincidence involving two separate car accidents on the Ship Canal Bridge today. These crashes happened around six hours apart in the near identical location on I-5 south, both involving semi-trucks that look the same. I got this footage from the UW Video YouTube channel livestream.

Hi all! We’re looking at pre school options for my 2.5 year old for next year and considering: - Kirkland Children’s - Lakeview Montessori - Bellevue Discovery - The Little School, Bellevue Any experience with any of these? She’s intensely curious and showing signs of being gifted in a couple of areas so I’d love for her to naturally explore those interests in a structured sense (not academic acceleration, but rather someone who can take her curiosity and encourage her to learn more and such) Thanks in advance for any inputs!

I am aware of the around 80 million earmarked for existing behavioral facilities and expansion but building more seems like a simple, actionable, solution that can get people off the streets. And I’m not necessarily talking about forced rehabilitation here, I’m sure if we went around and gave unwell unsheltered people some narcan and then asked if they wanted to be treated and temporarily housed in the facility many would accept.

The Seattle Police Department intends to hire more than 140 police officers, Alex Hudson, interim press secretary for Mayor Katie Wilson, told JNS. The move comes as anti-Jewish hate crimes more than doubled in the city in 2026, and the mayor, who has said she is a democratic socialist, told JNS exclusively that she pledged more security for Jews during the High Holidays. “The mayor’s proposed 2027 and 2028 budget continues funding the expansion of the police force,” Hudson told JNS. “Seattle will see more police officers on the streets in 2027 than in 2026.” According to official city data, almost 20% of hate crimes in the city in 2026 targeted Jews, who make up about 1% of those living in the Seattle metro area.

I understand the the current administration has made it extremely difficult to practice forbearance and patience when it comes to ideologies that clash with our core convictions, but failure to do so only widens the divide that separates a community from each other. Let’s not let the bigots and traitors of this administration win, because that is exactly what they’re trying to do…divide us. Support your neighbors. Support your city. Xitco bros are not your neighbors but the fine folks who runs their business are!

Very reliably my apple CarPlay drops along I5 in the First Hill area. It will immediately reconnect as I approach Madison St. Anyone else experience this? I'm wondering if there's some kind of interference in the area, maybe for the hospital helicopter. It doesn't happen when driving along Broadway or Boren. https://preview.redd.it/8e8pv7n4dyph1.png?width=1940&format=png&auto=webp&s=b1269fd4ffc3d79a78cbd1c794d24cba57a52fe5

Hello everyone! We are having our wedding in Mt. Rainier in July and plan on having our welcome dinner in Tacoma before heading to our cabins in Packwood. We currently have the private room at Copper and Salt reserved but we are seeking feedback on which hotel to stay at. We have never visited Tacoma or Washington state, but Hotel Murano seems like a good fit if guests want to venture out after dinner while Silver Cloud seems to be a bit more upscale, but less to do in the immediate area? We are also letting our guests know that they are not required to stay at either hotel if they have points elsewhere, etc.
