My husband racked up my credit cards and a personal loan for him under my name, total about $35k. He promised he would pay that but I can tell he can’t anytime soon. He have a business but they’re in loss of money. He is in middle of a contract with a client and if I’m not letting him borrow the money, he wouldn’t have supplies to continue the work, the client would sue for contract breach, the bond company would come after me as well ($60k project). I’m going back to college full time for the next 2 years and we have a kid, my expected monthly income would be no more than $2000, just enough to pay rent, car note and insurance. This is not the first time he put me in this situation but this will be the last. Last few times, I managed to pay what he spent because I worked my ass off. Since the beginning of the marriage, he is never the provider, but I was stuck with him because I keep hoping he would pay me back. He was a drug addict, he gamble on and off, pending DV charge with me. He is also owes my parents a lot of money (~ $60k) for his previous business. I’m thinking about filling divorce and bankruptcy but I’m not sure which one should I do first. Any advice or recommendations for lawyers.

Just wondering if this gas station is the culprit. I used my card there the other day and then a fraudulent charged appeared on my credit card account. My boyfriend also had this happen after getting gas at the arco a few months ago. Didn’t think it was correlated then but wondering now if anyone else has experienced this after paying with credit card at the pump there. Maybe just a coincidence but maybe not.
Hi all, Looking for recommendations from homeowners in the area who have had crawlspace inspections or rodent exclusion done recently. We got a preliminary flyer/quote mentioning AMPM Exterminators, but I want to make sure I do my due diligence before hiring anyone. Has anyone here worked with them before, or is there another local crew in or near Kirkland you swear by for long-term prevention? Appreciate any advice or experiences you can share!
These are significant price increases. This will increase coswt of doing business as well so shops and stores will also pass on these higher prices.
Police are searching for a missing teen last seen near 14th Ave NW and NW 57th St in Ballard.
Friend recently turned me on to how nice it can be to read/work in bars during the day. Looking for some place nice to walk to, to sit and read and maybe write/edit music with headphones on a laptop. Basic criteria is clean/safe, mostly quiet by day, aesthetically nice place to sit in, reasonable price for a decent beer or coffee
The 8th street campaign worked - congratulations and thank you to all involved. From the linked page: September 14, 2026 at 3:37 p.m. UTC By KIRO 7 News Staff SEATTLE — The City of Seattle is working to make Ballard a safer neighborhood. Improvements are coming for people walking, biking, and rolling on 8th Avenue NW between NW 46th Street and NW 70th Street. This project is in the design phase, and construction should be completed sometime this fall. Here’s what’s coming: - New marked crosswalks with pedestrian islands at NW 49th, 51st, 53rd, and 70th Street - Two new radar speed signs - A traffic diverter at NW 70th St - Walk/bike flashing signs at NW 70th St - 13 speed cushions to prevent drivers from ending up in the bike lanes “This project is possible thanks to local funding from the voter-approved Seattle Transportation Levy. We appreciate your partnership in making Seattle’s streets safer for everyone,” the city shared. The project builds on some work that the city did last year in the area. In 2025, crews added intersection visibility improvements at NW 70th Street, NW 53rd Street, and NW 51st Street.
So, this group is being accused of hating on Laurelhurst, unfairly. And I'm totally sure it's totally unfair. Fine. Let's post the good things about this neighborhood. It can actually be a nice place to walk, assuming their off-duty cop private security leaves you along (sorry! Can't help it! Can't resist going negative!) Maybe we should schedule r/Seattle weekend afternoon walks around there. I'm sure nothing could go wrong. OK, I'll start. Marlai Thai is a pretty good Thai place, and very reasonably priced. We've been going there for over a quarter century, and have bumped into The Bill there a couple times. I'm not sure if it's technically in Laurelhurst, but it's on the edge. Check it out sometime! Whatcha all got? There's gotta be something nice about the place, for all of us.
Cell phone numbers are unlisted by default. Companies are paying third parties for "leads" which are simply stolen phone numbers. If you text me and try to sell me house painting, roof repair, etc, I know you got my number in a sketchy way so that means you run a sketchy company, and I would never in a million years pay you to do anything for me.
We have loved and used these gloves for so long that we cannot think of anything as a suitable replacement; has anyone found gloves they like as much?
