Hello, 6 months ago a friend and I made a website specifically for barter and trade and to offer free stuff in Tacoma. It is free to use, completely. It originally started as an idea when we would share notes for classes or trade our old textbooks and grew in scope as we had to access foodbanks more and mutual aid on social media and my friend suggested a resource component to it. We entered it in a contest at UW then had to drop out last minute because judging conflicted with our classes. But then we polished up the website again recently (this morning) when we remembered. It works like the old craigslist in that you create an account, that way people can respond directly to you if you post anything. There are specific listing categories, automod, spam filter. The ads auto delete after 2 weeks. We do not sell your data. We do not ask for real name or identifying details. You can sign up with any random email. We made this because this is something that could our communities easier. The name of the site is Tacoma Community Exchange and the website is commonhands.org If the site gains traction within a year, if I have the time, I may hook up Google analytics to it to use site usage for research. Just literally counting clicks. Other than that, I am hoping to set it and forget it and let my hb moderate and hopefully it can make peoples lives easier. That's all. Ty for reading and hopefully you can use the site.

Hi all, I’m looking for your recommendations for nail artists in the Everett area. I’ve been going to a really incredible artist in Seattle for about 6 years, getting gel nails with art. As incredible as she is, I am thinking about finding an artist a little closer to home. Gotta support the local economy and workers right! The art is pretty important to me, I love getting creative every month with funky, fun, or trendy designs. I don’t usually do charms or super-embellished styles though. Do you have a recommendations for artists that are really good at art, and high quality nail care and prep, and not a chop shop? I’m terrified to get my shit wrecked. Plus, I feel bad leaving my girl! If I leave her, it’s gotta be for someone good. Oh also, gotta be LGBTQ+ friendly.

I am wondering who this band is? I heard they have a new album coming out. I think they were performing at a house party. We’re north from Home Depot. The trail we were on is called Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail. Thanks 🙏🏽

Currently recruiting on behalf of a growing personal injury firm in the Seattle area. The firm is looking for an experienced PI attorney who is interested in more than simply making a lateral move. This is an opportunity to work closely with the firm owner, contribute to the growth of the practice, and potentially build something long term. We’re particularly interested in attorneys with Washington personal injury experience who are confident managing cases, strong with clients, and looking for an opportunity where they can have a meaningful impact. All conversations are handled discreetly and confidentially. We will not share your information with the firm without your permission. If you’re open to hearing more, feel free to send me a private message.

I’m in the food desert of the Eastside- or so I thought. There are local grocery stores everywhere you look- that sell fresh meat and produce and everything in between. I have priced it out and even Winco is only slightly cheaper. They are definitely cheaper/can be cheaper than Safeway/Walmart. Shop local and support these businesses!

I just spent about 30 minutes sitting across from a lovely individual on the E line who was somehow drinking beer and liquor while vaping and listening to obnoxious music without headphones. He finally got off around 100th Street after throwing his phone on the ground, spilling his beer and yelling at the driver to open the door for him after missing his stop. I managed to take his picture and attached it to a complaint to KC metro along with relevant time and location details, but I have yet to see any response. How is this allowed? Is anyone actually looking at the security cameras?

My partner and I are trying to get an apartment. My annual gross income is around 20k, plus VA disability; my partner makes at least 50k. Will they include my VA disability in the “annual income or salary” section? P.S. if so, should I be filling out the “City of Seattle Incentive Programs Bank Deposits Explanation Form” under "Instructions A. Property Representatives: List Deposits of $500 or more during the last three months of bank statements, if the household appears to be over-income."
