Our garage door at our Shoreline house took a bang this weekend from the outside. Might need a replacement door. I'm looking to get two or three estimates. Ideally, a local independent company that won't break the bank. I'm sure this sub knows a few companies to recommend. Recommendations appreciated.

hi! for any teens that look at this subreddit, there's a hackclub (hackclub is a non profit organization that hosts hackathons, and gives you a bunch of cool stuff when you ship code and hardware projects!) event called haven! it's from november 14th to the 15th you get to join a team, and spend two days making a game, and then you get to show it off! it's all free as well. free food, free to attend, free merch sign up here: haven.hackclub.com location tbd, most likely near waterfront in seattle

Anyone know some good spots for finding clay out in the wild? Happy to travel to surrounding areas if there’s a spot you know will have some!! Have a craft in mind and want to give foraging for my own clay a try:) not looking for recommendations on how to process clay, just want to find some! TIA
Been going through a rough period. Hoping to move to Seattle to train with SANCA & Emerald City Trapeze for a year or two. Maybe next summer/fall. Thinking it'd be nice to stay near South Seattle, Renton, Factoria, Burien, Tukwila, Kent. Particularly wondering about housing, work, commute. I have a car, but I hear winter isn't super fun, nor the traffic if commuting by vehicle. 30, moving from Colorado, just me and my cat. Never lived on my out on my own and am excited at the prospect of finally being able to. Open to roommates too. Currently I work in finance and make 56k a year - shooting to make about the same if not a bit more working a similar job out there. I don't have any debt except for my car payment. After doing mock budget it looks like I'd be okay with rent somewhere between $1100/$1200, utilities around $380 including internet. I realize that rent budget is unreasonable in a lot of areas, but I have found quite a few places/rooms listed at less or around that price just browsing. Any advice you can give for this transition is appreciated. Thanks all! 🤗

I'd like to not travel further than walking distance around belltown/Denny/slu/cap hill there's a few business I saw looking in the area. also willing to just go though someone who owns their own screen printer. any recommendations?
Good place to donate old definitely used/worn and some other in good condition books and good condition textbooks? Looking mostly to just drop off a box or two and dip. Nothing special just wanting to get rid of all at once and I know some places don't take textbooks or used worn books.
In the Seattle area its hard to find a good restaurant without the service charge. El Diablo doesn't. A little pricey, but large portions. Pics include the receipt, Chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, and tres leches pancakes. Disclaimer: I do not work here or anyway affiliated with El Diablo, this is for information of a Seattle area restaurant in the hope others post other places. I find the service charge deceptive. I would prefer to know the real price instead of finding out it's 25% more.
