I feel like fb marketplace isn't as suited for selling tickets for events:( I can no longer go to Brett Goldsteins standup show so I'm trying to find where I can post the info. Any recommendations? Is r/sealist a popular sub?

Hi everyone! I’m trying to understand how elementary school enrollment works, especially if we’re interested in a school that is not our assigned/neighborhood school . A few questions for parents who have gone through this: When do applications typically open for the next school year? How early should we start looking into schools and preparing? What is the usual process for requesting a non-assigned/out-of-boundary school? Is it lottery-based, first come first served, or based on space availability? When do families usually find out if they got a spot? Does applying to another school affect your spot at your assigned school? Any tips or things you wish you had known before going through the process? Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences. We’re trying to plan ahead and understand the timeline. Thank you!

Interesting group of photos on display now at Westlake Park showing the area at various points in its history. I wish they'd add one from the late 1940s or early 1950s, after the Denny Regrade but before the monorail was built. The traffic at the intersection of 4th & Westlake must have been a mess!

This is a rant. If you don't agree, go back to where it's supposed to be sunny and bright. I'm here for the big dark. (I have photophobia, a condition that makes me rage at bright lights) I want to be blinded by darkness, not sunlight. Nothing makes me angrier than the glare of the sun and the sun dogs. It is hot, bright, and dry. This is not what I signed up for. "Feels like 62”, my ass. It's easily 70. 85 inside because Seattle dOESnt NeEd Air coNditiOniG. Bullshit. My moss is drying out and my back is developing a human-like skin. Pretty soon I'll look like a transplanted Texan, a forlorn Californian, or an asnine Arizonian. 🥵 Concerned Coloradan? Idk "Indian summer" can go F itself.
