Sorry if this isn’t the right place to post, but I’m looking at leasing a commercial space in Bellevue that I really love. The current tenant is leaving and told me they’ve had issues with the landlord, including NNN increases of thousands of dollars that they had to have an attorney dispute, ultimately resulting in a refund. They also said the landlord didn’t want to renew their lease because they didn’t like their business. Obviously, I’m only hearing one side, so I want to do my due diligence before signing anything. Does anyone have recommendations for a commercial real estate/contracts attorney who could review the lease? Or any advice on red flags I should look for in a commercial NNN lease?

I want to know how much people tip for certain things. Not like restaurant service, I’m talking about pedicures or coffee or drivers. I want to know if you tip for these services and if so, how many dollars?
Sixty-eight days after being forced to resign following July’s Bite of Seattle mass shooting, former Seattle police Chief Shon Barnes landed a new job selling technology to law enforcement agencies across the U.S. In a Tuesday statement , Arizona-based MissionRT announced Barnes’ hiring as head of public safety programs and strategy. The company sells “advanced surveillance systems” and tools like drones and body-worn cameras to federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, according to its website. In the new job, Barnes will talk to “police executives” about MissionRT’s products, then help craft strategies for implementing them. The company says his work will draw from his experiences as police chief in Madison, Wis., and Seattle, including leading Madison’s body-worn camera pilot and overseeing Seattle’s Real Time Crime Center.
Hey everyone! I'm a big England national team fan, absolutely loved the atmosphere during the World Cup. Now that it's over, really missing the excitement of watching soccer with a crowd, especially since most sports bars have switched back to NFL and basketball. Does anyone know of any soccer-friendly bars around Seattle or the Eastside that regularly show matches? Especially big games like El Clásico, the Nations League, or other international matches. Would love to find a place where people actually get excited about soccer and cheer together!
I'm a solo interior designer with a great 1,000 sq. ft. office in Queen Anne, with plenty of natural light and a fantastic location. Anyone in a creative or design-related field interested in sharing the space, or know someone who might be?
About 11,000 Washington residents lost Medicaid coverage this month because of changes Congress approved last year, with many more expected to lose health insurance in the coming months. State officials predict at least 200,000 more Washington residents will be kicked off Medicaid by the end of 2027 because of H.R. 1, which President Trump dubbed the "big, beautiful bill." The law also imposes new work requirements that put more than 600,000 Washington residents at risk of losing coverage when that part of the bill takes effect in January, according to state estimates. ~ Even in the state's own best case, the automated verification workaround keeps 400,000 people covered and loses 200,000. That is the version where everything goes right, and the emergency department is the backstop for the rest.
The founder and head of a non-profit – meant to help dogs – is now charged with 30 counts of first-degree animal cruelty. This follows the rescue of dozens of dogs from a property near Bellingham, operated by the non-profit Pittie Project PNW. “Just kind of pulled at our heart strings,” said Matt Myers as he and Kayla Shimizu dropped off dog food for the dogs, which are now recovering at Whatcom County Humane. Do not give money to these horrible non profit and report them to any dog rescue out there.. these dog deserve help, food and care. I hope they all get the homes they rightful deserve and Pittie Project PNW is demolished. https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/nonprofit-rescue-accused-animal-cruelty/3ca3d471-2302-4f85-a395-846e88bbb7d1/
Excited for Tacoma to have the opportunity to see Dave Chappelle at Nate Jackson's Super Funny Comedy Club tonight and tomorrow. Seeing such a big name at a small local venue is a rare experience. For those of you that got tickets, please share your experience at the show.
