Ive been feeling especially lonely since fall has come around. I’ve tried community events and meetup groups for a couple of years, but it’s been hard to make meaningful connections. I wanted to see if there were any women’s groups or any women just looking for friends who would want to hang out. I’m 31f and am up for pretty much anything, I just have a busy schedule with school and working full time.

The City Manager released the updated budget yesterday that closes the $40 million budget gap. 104 positions have been eliminated in various departments and 35 people will be laid off (although some of those laid off will be hired back on in non general fund funded positions). The City gets a bit more revenue by changing business license fees and increasing commercial parking tax. The fire and police are losing their civilian response teams. But the real detail I saw that I see is the proposed dramatic increase in utility rates. When I add up the expected rate increase, it shows a $38.01 a month increase for the average person in Tacoma if you total all the various utilities (that's using the figures from the presentations made by the various utility services that are cited in the budget). I get $44.29 increase using only the figures from the proposed budget. The News Tribune had an article on the updated budget but made no mention of the increase in utility fees. Here is where I am pulling the above images from: https://tacoma.gov/government/departments/management-and-budget-office/2027-2028-biennial-budget/#department-budgets https://cityoftacoma.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=15776185&GUID=D93901F5-BD7A-4D48-874C-BFF118108F18 https://cityoftacoma.legistar.com/View.ashx?M=F&ID=15776186&GUID=481AB073-0006-482C-A915-606AC5E57410

Hi! Looking for someone to hit with on Wednesdays or Thursday’s from 6pm-7pm I’m aware there are meet up groups, but prefer to meet one person to hit with at this time. Kauffman park or Lakewood park ~3

Even on the days it is running at full schedule, it’s consistently late, and then not to mention you gotta pay attention to announcements all the time to see if they change it to two both schedule or ferries are canceled , and it happens so frequently that it just can’t be relied on to plan a commute.
