Could be a public space, a library, a waterfront spot, a park, or somewhere indoors when the weather isn't cooperating. I'm curious about places people genuinely enjoy spending time in, especially ones that aren't obvious tourist destinations.

Is there a store that has their own logo stamp that I can add to my notebook? Kinda like how some stationary stores have them for travelers. I know Outpost Stationery in Seattle has one, but I'm looking for one local.
Hey everybody! My wife and I are planning a pregnancy photoshoot for the coming weekend and wanted some good picturesque fall locations. Ideally some place where we can see a lot of the seasonal colors, trees etc within 1-2 hrs drive from Seattle. We cant really hike much but don’t mind a small easy one if needed
Out of the R Line's total $91.2 million expected cost, $64.4 million would be advanced into the current 2026-2027 budget, if the County Council signs off on Zahilay's "omnibus" budget proposal as transmitted last month. In the name of speeding up trips, Metro's initial concept would have consolidated 67 stops along the entire corridor into 45, counting both northbound and southbound trips. Estimates produced by Metro in 2020 showed a travel time savings of 7.3 minutes to 11.7 minutes with the R Line during peak hours by 2040, but a big portion of those savings were expected to come from bus lanes that SDOT has actually implemented along some segments of Rainier Avenue since that time. Metro has not yet released any updated time savings data for its current concepts that reflect the gains that have already been made in reliability for the 7. ~ The cash gets pulled forward a budget cycle, the stop map is still being redrawn, and the Council votes on the alignment next month. Pay for it, fine. But decide what the 11,000 people already on that bus are actually getting before the money is spent.
Was walking through the aisles when I heard a low whistle and then saw this thing moving towards me. I started walking down one aisle to chat with a friend as it just kept inching towards me when my back was turned like a weeping angel. Employee told us “he wakes up every morning at 7 AM and goes around the store. Then at 10:30, he goes to his little house to recharge”. Then after some chatting, I shit you not, she told us “please do something about this before it takes our jobs”. I hate this timeline yall 😔
A few weeks ago, I held a free pop-up event for 3rd molar (wisdom tooth) extractions, and the response was overwhelming. That event has now ended, and I’m very grateful to everyone who reached out and participated. I apologize for the short notice on this one. I had a lot of people message me after the last event, so I wanted to get this out to limit the amount of people messaging me. This weekend, I’m hosting a dental extraction course in Renton, and as part of the course, we are offering free tooth extractions with bone grafting for patients who qualify. Screening is required: You must be available tomorrow, Wednesday, October 7, between 9:00–5:00 PM for an in-person screening. I’ll evaluate the tooth, determine whether you’re a candidate, and schedule your procedure. Surgery dates: Friday, October 9 Saturday, October 10 There is no charge for the extraction or bone graft for qualifying patients. I’ll also be screening patients for next month’s implant event while I’m there. More details on that event will be posted. If you’re interested, send me a DM with a brief description of the tooth/problem you need treated. If you have a recent dental X-ray, please mention that as well. Location: Renton, WA
There's been better bike infrastructure around here, but a lot of it is just mediocre or bad. Criteria used: 1. Presence of bike lanes 2. Number of cars 3. Speed of cars 4. Presence of shoulders
Anyone know if It’s-it ice cream bars are sold in Seattle anywhere?
Hey neighbors!! My sister is going to an adult tech-free summer camp- think whimsy✨. Anywho she waited until the last minute to pack and she needs to buy (from a store you all recommend or borrow from one of you) light up accessories. For example they are doing a silent disco dance party at night and needs accessories that light up maybe sunglasses or socks or hat. Does anyone have anything she can borrow or anyone have recommendations on where she may be able to find this?? TIA
I visited Seattle for the first time last week and checked out a few local games. Coming from the UK, I genuinely had no idea how incredible the sports culture here actually is. It completely blew away my expectations and I can't wait to visit again in the future to watch more sports games. I ended up writing a piece breaking down why it feels like such an underrated sports city. I'd love to hear from locals: do you think Seattle gets overlooked nationally, or is it flying under the radar on purpose? (Dropped a link to my write-up in the comments for anyone interested!)
