So on 196th there’s two lanes of traffic on each side and there’s a center turn lane. The arrow markings in the middle lane are super faded but there is a common left turn into a road which makes the center lane full of cars waiting to make a left turn (near Todo). Sometimes but more rarely, a car from the opposite direction needs to make their left turn and get into the middle but it’s full of cars obviously facing the other way. So I’m waiting along with 5 other cars trying to make this left while in the center turn lane. An incoming car from the opposite direction needs to turn left and can’t get into the middle obviously, so he just stops in the road. Everyone behind him is getting into the right lane to pass him and he’s just waiting for the person to turn but they can’t turn into traffic clears. Then a cop car stops behind the car that’s just stopped in highway lane and blares his siren for a second and I think he wants this guy to move forward and not stop in the middle of the road but he’s telling the car in the center lane to move forward a little so that this car can squeeze in between, and make his turn while perpendicular in the center lane and waiting for traffic to clear on the opposing side to go. Which isn’t a super safe turn since you can’t see with cars blocking. I hope this makes sense but normally if a middle lane is full I have to get in earlier or later in the center lane and just adjust where I have to turn instead of stopping in the middle of the road. And I don’t expect to just squeeze into a line of cars to make an unsafe turn but that’s what this cop instructed which I find weird? Is that not weird?

For those that watched it, what was your favorite segment? I went to a taping once. It was hilarious. My personal favorite is Independence Day where they show where the aliens would attack this city. https://youtu.be/awVJ35Gw63E?is=KwuqHUS84Qhobjxn And of course Ballard Driving Academy.

Hi, My husband and I are looking to move to Seattle with our four year old daughter. We are in our early 40s, lost our home in California due to wildfire two years ago, and are interested in finding a new place to call home. We are looking for a neighborhood with good public schools where we could get a 4 bed house with at least a small yard. We will be coming up to visit again and wanted to get a sense of neighborhoods we should most check out. Some that have come up are Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Queen Anne, Sammamish, Wedgwood, and Ravenna. I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the options. If you could help us narrow down to about three areas that would really help. Thanks so much! Edited to add: We are looking to rent first to confirm we are in the right neighborhood for us and then buy after a year or so. Rental budget would be 4-6K/month and buying budget would be 1-1.5M. Sorry for mixing up Seattle neighborhoods with neighboring cities. That's why I need help!

HELP ME FIND THIS GUY! 😂 I met a guy on the subway/light rail from the International District toward the Symphony. He asked me for directions to Pike Place, you were dropping off what seemed like tablet and we ended up chatting and hanging out for a few minutes at my hotel afterward. He gave me his Snapchat, but somehow I completely forgot to add him before I lost the contact. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 If this sounds like you—or if you know who I’m talking about—PLEASE message me! I’d love to reconnect. 😭😂 Seattle, do your thing! 🫶

(24F) I’m lying in bed unable to sleep, and so of course I want to yak up some of my imagination instead of shutting my eyes. How wonderful it would be, to live with others. To live with 1, 2, maybe 3 roommates. We share our common spaces, have a balance of social time and solitude, and speak in a manner of understanding that keeps the energy in our place tranquil. These people are more than roommates. They are my dear friends. Hipster at the hip. Overindulging in thrift hauls. Trying nourishing recipes together and eating together by candles. A couple of cats zooming around joyously. Cleansing negative energies with incense. Loafing up on our best sourdough. Music being played all over. Going out to a club, or a jazz bar :D having an open door all our friends. Some 🌬️ on the weekends. Embracing nature. Wine walks, night walks, morning walks. Any type of walking. To enjoy each other’s company, truly, will be my reality soon. Guilty as charged, I am a fully fledged romanticist. I want to be in the present, and not even think about my phone when I’m with the people I love. Im sure there are a couple of grounded Seattlites in their 20’s who desire the same as I. I will find them. Anywayssss, I’m looking to move into Seattle, perhaps Fremont/ Ballard. If this is your cup of tea, I want to meet you :)

Hi I moved to Washington about a month and a half ago and I recently started a job working at a warehouse for 24.25/h for no less than 40 hours a week with 10+ hours overtime on some Sundays. I'm a trans fem who's looking for a roommate or a place to split rent with near casino rd, or around that area and am mildly panicked cause I need to be out around late December early January. If anyone is renting and looking for a roommate or has any ways to help me find someone it'd be appreciated.
