My wife and I recently moved to the Renton area and are big into haunted houses. We’ve typically gone to Merris Farms in Enumclaw, but are looking at suggestions for the Renton area. Any recommendations?

One of the victims of the downtown shooting across from Dorky’s has been identified…and he was wanted for a murder at the EQC. How we feeling about that Tacoma fam??? https://www.thenewstribune.com/news/local/crime/article317516236.html
Hey, I have a coworker who has been having a terrible time finding a PCP in Tacoma, who listens, and takes her concerns seriously. Does anyone have a PCP they love in the Keiser Network?
Like people would pay hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, to be able to experience this beauty and this weather. I am aware of the privilege I enjoy and I do not take it for granted.
I am getting married in just a little over one month. We want to have a small private wedding, in nature, on a bluff/cliff overlooking the ocean. Do you know any ordained individuals/retired who live out there or are willing to travel out there to help us tie the knot? Ideally, we want to get married somewhere between Ruby Beach and South Beach. We would also be open to somewhere breathtaking in the Cascades. It needs to be accessible to a road. No more than a quarter mile walk. It needs to be a free location without foot traffic. We want privacy. And it needs to be breathtakingly memorable. I'm only inviting a few close family members. The only thing we're spending money on is the wedding dress, rings, photographer, officiant, and the gas to get to the location. I'm open to recommendations for photographers, officiants, and locations. And if you're wondering why the hell we're getting married outside in November when it could be raining, it's because the fiancé visa requires marriage within 90 days. And November 19 would be the very last day. We want to tie the knot at least 10 days before that
Being carried live on https://seattlechannel.org/watch-live All the commenters they're hearing right now are remote. Lots of callers are urging funding (or continued funding) for specific things (like the Alki Community Center, or the Housing Justice Project); others are asking for more funding for certain priorities generally (mostly, housing). This departs from the usual practice of hearing public comment where they alternate hearing 10 in-person, 10 remote, etc. They still do this for public comment at most meetings (although the regular City Council meetings at 2 PM on Tuesday are usually the only ones where there are more than 10 commenters anyway). But today they are taking remote comment at 2 PM and then in-person comment only at a separate meeting at 5 PM, and splitting up the remote and in-person commenters means that the in-person commenters won't have to hang around as long in the evening, which seems like a good idea. Each remote speaker is getting 90 seconds. (If you want to come speak in person I am 90% sure each in-speaker is also going to get 90 seconds each.)
Hey Seattle, Washington Poison Center here. We’re wondering if you’ve seen “Cat’s Claw” for sale in gas stations or convenience stores? We’ve been treating patients in Eastern Washington who have become very sick from counterfeit cat’s claw supplements. They are showing signs of opioid toxicity... aka they aren’t breathing and then are having severe opioid withdrawal symptoms. Investigations in other states (where there have actually been deaths) are showing that these products have 7-OH, MGM-15, and MGPI in them, NOT cat’s claw. 7-OH, MGM-15, and MGPI are all derived from kratom, and are strong opioids. We’ve taken a look at some gas stations in the Puget Sound area and haven’t seen any “cat’s claw” for sale. So, we’re curious if these products have made their way to the west side, and if we should expect to start seeing patients crop up here. If you want to learn more about this issue, we have a safety alert posted on our website . I’m seriously considering making the move from Orlando to the Seattle area next spring and would love to hear from anyone who has made a similar move, especially from Florida or somewhere else in the Southeast. I’ve lived in Florida for most of my life and Orlando has been home for about 12 years, so this would be a pretty major change for me. There are definitely things I love about Florida, especially having my friends and family here, but I’ve been craving something different for a while. I love the PNW, the scenery, cooler weather, access to nature, and just the overall feel of the Seattle area. I’m a flight attendant, so thankfully my job gives me some flexibility with relocating. I’d most likely be looking somewhere in the greater Seattle area rather than needing to live directly downtown. Ideally I’d like somewhere safe, relatively walkable, with some parks/nature nearby and a good sense of community. I’m also a single woman in my 30s, so I’d love somewhere where it’s still possible to build a social life and meet people. For anyone who moved from Florida, or specifically Orlando, to the Seattle area: Did you end up being happier after the move? Is there anything you really miss about Florida that you didn’t expect to? How difficult was adjusting to the weather and darker winters? How was making friends and building a new social circle? And most importantly, do you regret the move at all? I know Seattle is more expensive and the weather is obviously VERY different from Orlando lol. I’m not expecting it to be some magical perfect place. I’m just trying to get some perspectives from people who actually took the leap rather than endlessly comparing cities on paper. Any neighborhood/suburb recommendations or things you wish you knew before moving would also be really appreciated! 🙂
Hi all - my friends car was broken into and her purse stolen this afternoons she doesn't need the cash or anything back, but her immigration papers were in there. If you took it, please dm me and I swear I will pick it up with no questions asked. And if you see a purse or wallet dumped near Jefferson and 20th, please dm me!
Thankfully now that GetGo is part of the Circle K Family, we can now pay $3 to get air that was free until two weeks ago.
