Hey all! Loved all your recommendations for our Honeymoon post. Was wondering if you guys had any specific seafood recs? Trying to avoid solely fried fish places and seafood boils. Where would you take your wife (or S/O) for a nice seafood dinner?

I'm moving to the Seattle area for work and trying to decide where to live. I'll be making about $101k/year and am looking at a 1BR at Griffis Seattle Waterfront for ~$2,307/month , plus $375/month for parking , utilities/fees, etc. My priorities are a little different from the typical "young person moving to Seattle" recommendations: I don't care about nightlife/bars I really liked Pike Place Market and the waterfront I want somewhere very walkable where I can get groceries/food/coffee without driving I like being around the piers, water, parks, and ferries I prefer quiet/calm over a party atmosphere Safety/feeling comfortable walking around matters to me I'll have a car and need to commute toward Renton/Kent I'd like to actually experience living in Seattle while I'm young rather than living somewhere completely suburban I toured Griffis Waterfront and really liked the location and felt comfortable there. I'm also considering Griffis Lake Washington in Renton , which would obviously make the commute easier and probably save some money, but I'd give up being able to walk out my door and be at Pike Place/the waterfront. For people who know the area: Does Griffis Waterfront sound like a good fit for what I'm looking for? Is ~$2,300 + $375 parking reasonable on a $101k salary for the location, or would you recommend somewhere like Queen Anne/Uptown instead? Also interested in hearing from anyone who has actually lived at Griffis Seattle Waterfront—noise, safety, management, building quality, etc.

Has anyone else noticed a noticeable increase in the unhoused population around the U District over the past few weeks? It feels like it’s reaching a tipping point. Just this morning, I saw a guy who looked like he’d recently been maced harassing an elderly resident at his home (he even grabbed the homeowner's garden hose and started spraying him with it). As absurd as the situation looked, I stuck around just to make sure the older man was alright and the guy moved on. Wondering if a camp elsewhere was broken up and they were pushed over here.

Something came up and me and my partner are no longer able to go to the show. I am selling two tickets for $125 each or best offer first come first serve. One of the tickets is through Ticketmaster. The other is through secure tickets. DM me if you're interested. :))
