🎶 Wes Urbaniak & The Mountain Folk are playing in Seattle! 📍 Blue Moon Tavern OCT. 8th @ 8 pm! Handmade instruments by Wes himself out of original red rocks amphitheater benches! This music is worthwhile. And the story is of remark!

I toured an "affordable" apartment in the Pike/Pine Corridor of Cap Hill and am very much considering taking it. The location is a dream. However.. I also plan to purchase a vehicle ASAP. My entire support net live hours away and I work second shift in far North Seattle. I do not anticipate ever finding residential parking in my own neighborhood, even with an RPZ Permit, and don't know if I can swing a monthly garage (please stifle those laughs). How sustainable is this? Be honest. Any tips, tricks, owners I can shmooze and pay, blocks I can walk down from? Have you done this successfully or should I reconsider this location entirely? I love it 🥺 Any info is GREATLY appreciated! (PIC OF NEARBY STREET FOR ATTENTION).

Hi! I’m currently finishing up grad school for HR (graduate december) and I plan on moving cross country to seattle around mid march. I would love to rent a place that is nearish transit and is reasonably walkable. I would prefer somewhere more residential but not far away from restaurants/shops/etc. I’m hoping for a place between $1.5-1.7k When would be the best time to look for a place given my timeline? any neighborhood recommendations? When is the best time to look for a job there? Any warnings when looking to rent an apartment in seattle? Visited seattle for a few days and felt a huge calling to leave my hometown. Ive never moved out of my house before so sorry if I sound naive lol

Thirteen of the ferry system's 18 vessels transporting travelers and commuters across Puget Sound were out of commission Monday morning, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. This came after 23 engine room employees called in sick, and the workers qualified to replace them declined to fill in, according to the transportation department. A survey of 80-plus members in June found more than 60% were either somewhat or very likely to retire or leave the ferry system for another job. Members have long complained of uncompetitive wages and a reliance on overtime that drives burnout. ~ The warning showed up in a June survey. The consequences showed up on a Monday commute.
