It's a longshot I know... I left a customized brumate in a lime bike basket near the space needle right outside the museum of pop culture. It is light blue/teal with the name Chelly engraved on it. Was my only bday present this year and I'd really love a miracle to get it back.

Our neighbors just decided to plant a bunch of plants in what is probably technically their side yard (though that's unclear to me); however, it is literally the only way we can get our trash cans out. They have a fence right up against our property, then they have a hedge row right up against our property. Plus, there is never any street parking, so we are 3 deep in our driveway. How do other people address this?

Just learned that GD cover band DEAL is playing tonight in Seattle. They’ve played Mariner games before. I think they added the show recently because it wasn’t there a couple weeks ago. . It’s on Deal’s facebook page. At the Growler guys LCW/NE85th st at 7pm. 💀

Hi! We found these two doggos running around with no owner or collars/leashes. Found them near May Creek Park Drive (Newcastle near Renton). We tried taking them to a couple of vets nearby to see if they were chipped but the vets were closed/told us to try the local animal shelter. We are going to try and drop them off at Regional Animal Services of King County.

As it happens, I just got word that the Paramout Park Stargazing event tonight is a go! I wasn't planning to go, but I'm thinking about setting my telescope up there. Even if I don't there will be probably a dozen scopes available, and more importantly, people enthusiastic about letting people look through them and see they're doing. Feel free to ping me here, and we can probably meet up there. In any event, it's a cool thing to go to. This subreddit is blocking me from posting the event to the URL because it is interpreting the URL as a survey, which is against the rules of the group. Fair enough. You can easily find the event page by googling Seattle Astronomical Society Star Party Calendar. Here's the important info: -------------------------------------- This public "Star Party" event is authorized by the city of Shoreline, Parks & Recreation Department and is free of charge. Everyone is welcome including families with children. Time & Location Oct 03, 2026, 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM Paramount Park in Shoreline, 15300 8th Ave NE, Shoreline, WA 98155, USA About the Event Experienced astronomers from the Seattle Astronomical Society (SAS) volunteer their time and telescopes and binoculars to share with the public. Dress warmly, bring a camping chair , blanket, hot drink, and binoculars if you have them. Star party host for Paramount Park is Bill O'Neil.

So I got into DJ’ing a few months ago and am starting to think about how to integrate into the scene as a beginner. Are there any open decks/events for beginners here in Seattle? If so, where and when are they? I know networking/socializing is part of it but I can’t just go up and say “Hi i’m a dj can I play at your event?” without any experience in a club setting. Especially since there are a lot of DJ’s here I feel like, so it’s also competitive as hell. Any information would be appreciated.
