Hey there, friends. I'm planning to be in Issaquah this Sunday for Salmon Days -- are there any dog-friendly spots in town that will be showing the Hawks game? Any patios with TVs or dog-friendly indoor breweries? Thanks!
I barely have ANY fancy clothes and any time I put on a collared shirt I feel like I’m going to meet a parole officer
I’m a flooring contractor with Best Buy Floors Inc. and have been working around the Redmond and Eastside since 2009. After helping more than 2,200 homeowners and businesses, I’ve learned that flooring decisions can somehow become more complicated than choosing a house. Hardwood or engineered hardwood? Luxury vinyl or laminate? Refinish the old floor or cover it up and pretend the damage never happened? If you’re in Redmond and planning a flooring project, feel free to ask me anything about: - Hardwood, engineered hardwood, LVP, carpet, laminate, and tile - Flooring that can survive pets, kids, and everyday chaos - Material and installation costs - Why one flooring estimate can be much higher than another - Refinishing versus replacing existing hardwood - Water, moisture, and basement flooring concerns - Repairing one damaged area versus replacing the whole floor - Matching new flooring with the existing floors - How to prepare your home before installation - How long the project may take, assuming the house doesn’t reveal any surprises Share your property type, approximate square footage, current flooring, and what you’re considering. I’ll give you a general idea of what I’d look at. No question is too basic. Flooring has a way of making perfectly reasonable adults spend 45 minutes debating two nearly identical shades of beige!
Hey neighbors! For the past couple weeks I've been wanting to throw together a new book club meeting on Saturdays, as other local book clubs never quite align with my schedule 😅 So beginning next weekend we'll be starting with Paul Kingsnorth's Against the Machine: On the Unmaking of Humanity, at the Lakewood Bookstore on Saturday 10/10 at 4pm. This is a first meeting to gauge interest and get a feel for what genres, times, and venues may work best going forward, so please feel free to join even if you haven't made it through this month's book in time! Until we've had the opportunity to explore the group's collective interests, I'm just throwing out a few of my to-be-reads as future book options. I really enjoy psychedelic and/or ecological horror, classic sci-fi (especially with politically-forward themes), and non-fiction explorations/critiques of technology, culture, and capitalism. If you're interested in joining in, you're so welcome! Please do send me a quick message if you plan to attend - I've never hosted anything like this before and want to make sure we have a reasonable head count to be respectful of the space. Thanks everyone!
Anyone have a location or specific barber they recommend for parents to take their neurodivergent/autistic child (age range 2-10 years old) to in Tacoma or Pierce County?

Does anyone have any info on this place…? It’s on Colby Ave by 7/11. Google says it’s supposed to be open - I can’t find any info about it expect the website and Instagram which don’t seem real?
