When they go away I might actually know how much asparagus costs, and we can't have that. Edit: People pointed out the new legislation won't ban digital price tags, just bar algorithmic price discrimination, so we'll still have this kind of pricing mystery.

Moved to Seattle a couple months ago from Chicago and it feels more dangerous here. I have been screamed at by the unhoused, watched people shoot up on the street, and yesterday my car got broken into on 10th in North Capitol him. They stole my handmade tote (which shouldn’t have been out, I know) and my registration/insurance. Thankfully I got it fixed quickly but I’m still out $250 :/ it’s tough here. Keep an eye out for my tote… I made it with an old family table cloth.

Does anyone know of, or can recommend, a place with an indoor lap pool that has extended hours in or near Renton? I’m rehabbing an ankle injury and would like to swim laps in the evening (after 7pm).

Hey neighbors, I’m looking to branch out from my routine. Where do you all go for your favorite burgers in WS? Let’s keep within the firm boundaries of the neighborhood... sorry Loretta’s and Pick-Quick. I’m down by Boss Burger on Delridge. That’s the rut I want out of.

Some of my kiddos favorite after school activities aren't happening now because the district wants after school activities to start 40 mins after school ends instead of immediately after, making it impossible for parents and those doing the activities. Anyone know why?!

I am trying to plan my company's holiday party. I thought I had the BEST idea, going to one of those game show rooms. There are only a couple in the area, but one was able to host a larger show and accommodate everyone and do catering. But with a lot of hiccups along the way it turns out they don't do catering on weekends and it just fizzled out. So now I am scratching my brain for something equally as neat. We are a group of 29-36 (this includes +1s). We are all adults. And I would not hesitate to schedule an activity that is on the fringe of inappropriate for a typical work event. Our field of work and our general employee type is a little quirky, macabre, fun and weird. So far I have a couple neat venues saved on peerspace. I have a traveling murder mystery team semi top of my list but I feel like the team engagement might be lacking with that. It's a great idea but not the one. I also had the idea of having some type of artist come out, someone who does caricatures or something tangible someone can take home. I considered tarot card readers but I think that would create congestion, long lines, and not really be a team event. I want an indoor event that either does catering we can visit or that will come to our venue and we cater on our own. I do have a budget but I think it is within normal range of what you'd expect for a team our size if not a tad more. So I can't do crazy extravagant things but we can splurge a little. We don't need an event if the venue is super neat. We can't afford this, but like hosting at the Seattle aquarium for example. It's crucial to me it's a team event where everyone can choose to participate or the takeaway will be special (like a tangible piece of art). So ideas like bowling, go carts, pottery, paint and sip, mini golf, family fun center and so on are off my list because those are usually events everyone splits up into small groups and chatting isn't really encouraged. We would like to stick to the general Seattle area, as our place of work is centrally located but I'd say any connecting city is fine. Just nowhere extremely far unless it's insanely cool. Also if I'm missing a super awesome game show location that could work please let me know too! That would still be the most epic option.

Is there any permit I can purchase for my partner who is over frequently at my place? I have 2 hr parking near my address and it’s a pain for them to have to re-park every 2 hours. It’s a little unclear to me on the Seattle Services website what the criteria for a guest permit is. To me guest means not at the residential address but I can’t tell. Is there anything I can purchase or do to allow them to stay there longer.

I'm deep into the early development stages of a PC video game (full planned out roadmap, names, content, etc, doing this all solo, hoping to launch on Steam, with later already mapped out DLC's) I've done basic searches in Copywrite and Trademark to make sure the names for myself as an indie studio/single creator are not things that are taken, along with the names of my work as i go on the Washington business/entities list search website as well as a basic search of copywrite/trademark. However i know i will need to, in the near future, find someone who has expertise in small game development copywrite, trademark, name registration, etc to ensure myself and my product are protected. I anticipate needing to do this within the next year at most. But its been a struggle to find someone who does this kind of work? I am on the east side so also close-ish to Idaho. The top recommend person for this has since retired. And i will be doing this on a small budget and will be saving up to cover these costs when the time comes. Can anyone point me to people/groups who can assist me with this filings and such? Ballpark estimates on how much this will cost? (based on researching it looks like the basic paperworks run about 300-600, not including costs for legal needs)
