Hello! I am a newbie flower gardener and am in love with the idea of entering a flower at the spring Puyallup fair. Does anyone have any suggestion for resources/tips on what to grow? I’ve started some fall seeds already, and threw some cheap Walmart tulip bulb in my yard. I looked up the website but their flower handbook was a little confusing

Hi, I tried renewing my license through the DOL portal, however it says my record doesn't exist. Tried the number in the screenshot and an automated system walks me through some process and hangs up at the end. Anyone else experience this ?

Hello everyone I wanted to reach out to all of you on this as I am moving from Colorado with my family next week. I have a family of 5, including a 12yo, 11yo, and a 3 month old. Between my husband and myself, we make 7k monthly. My question for you is this: Do you know anyone who is known to or is willing to work with someone who has rental debt and is on a payment plan to pay it off? We aren’t particular on if it’s a complex or a private individual. Back in 2025, we were two blocks from the Annunciation school shooting, which shook our family to the core. As such, we sadly had to break the lease we had in order to move. We were making regular payments (proof can be provided) to our landlord up until the point he sent our account to collections after a few payments. We are now currently on a payment plan with the Creditor to resolve this debt. Beyond this debt we have no major utility debt or notes to speak of on our credit report. We are willing to do whatever is needed to obtain housing sooner rather than later, including a monthly fee added to the rent, an increased deposit, prior rental references confirming that we have been good tenants and always paying our rent on time, etc. if that will help our cause. I thank you all for your information and input.

I have four adorable lovey kitties ready for adoption, neutered or spayed, vaccinated and bloodwork completed with a clean bill of health and rabies certificates and tags. I live in Lakewood, and there are a ton of colony cats that live in my neighborhood, and they have been breeding exponentially this spring. I have tried to trap neuter/spay and release all that I can, eight so far, but they just keep coming. I just moved here a couple years ago, and I don’t know anyone who lives up here to get the word out about getting them homes. I’m hoping by posting this here, even if you can’t adopt one, maybe you will like their videos and share their account to get the word out and people who would like to adopt a kitty will find their account and see if they want one of my foster babies. I am currently fostering and tnr’ing without any help from any organizations and have paid for all their treatments out of pocket. I am disabled and not currently employed, so it’s starting to become a financial burden. I’ve contacted the facilities and agencies in the area and have found little to no help or even resources given. I do understand they are currently dealing with hundreds of stray kitties found in the boat, and van, however, I don’t have access to all the things they do, and feel like I’m failing these little guys. If you have any information or resources that might help, I would be eternally grateful. Adoption fees optional, pay what you can, I just want to find them good homes with loving families.
