I’m trying to find the best butter chicken and cheesy naan in Seattle. Big portions are a plus. My favorite spot isn’t in Seattle, it’s Tandoori Grill in Puyallup. I’ve tried Momi Indian kitchen Saffron grill Maharaja cuisine of India

Perhaps you recall our city's beloved machete-wielding, transit-hating hobo , Daniel Couch. He was jailed for that crime in early July and released on unsupervised electronic monitoring after less than a month in custody. Shockingly enough, Daniel was returned to custody only three weeks later for another criminal offense. Well folks, I'm pleased to inform you that, as of yesterday, Daniel has once again entered into the "release" phase of his ongoing "catch and release" waltz with the city. As a result, he will not be under constant correctional supervision. Anyone care to bet he'll be back in the pokey in a month's time or less?
My partner gets hit hard by the dark months every year and her birthday is in November, right as it sets in. I'd like to give her something to look forward to rather than another object. Indoors, no gym, nothing that revolves around drinking, and ideally something where you make a thing. Ballard or Capitol Hill is easiest but we'll go anywhere on the light rail. Class Bento has loads on in Ballard and Capitol Hill that sound amazing, and there's more on Eventbrite, so really it comes down to which ones people here love. What would you want to be given?
Need food for around 50 adults/kids and would love to support a small business. I’m looking for trays of food vs individual takeout orders. Any cuisine is fine, kids are not picky and the adults love good food. Anywhere in the greater Seattle/Eastside would be great. We’ve previously ordered from Yea’s Wok, Petra, Q Bakery, Taste of India, and Paparepas and they were all great. Thank you!
I just reported this to finditfixit. This spot has an underground pipe bursted since it is always wet for days on end despite scorching sun. I hope it doesn't become a sinkhole and collapse.
I saw a trailer for The Librarians film and thought I'd gauge interest in getting a local screening in Issaquah, perhaps at the Big Picture. I have no idea if they would be interested in showing it, but I thought it might be easier to approach them with evidence of interest. Thanks
Woke up to someone’s dog rummaging around my apartment patio and the shared patio area 😬 The dog was extremely friendly, but had no collar or identification. I reported it to my property managers, and the update I got was that one of our neighbors, whose patio connects to the shared space and mine, apparently likes to leave their dog outside overnight because “it likes the cold.” Yes, I realize this is a husky, but… is this actually safe or responsible? The dog was completely wet this morning, there was piss all over the shared patio, it had dug holes in the garden beds, and it was wandering around unattended. I also have two dogs of my own, and one of them is not friendly with unfamiliar dogs. If I had let my dogs out without noticing this dog first, this could have ended very badly. If you’re the person whose dog this is, or you know who it belongs to: please do better. At the absolute minimum, put a collar and ID on your dog. I’m glad the dog is friendly and that nothing happened this time, but leaving a dog loose and unattended overnight in a shared apartment patio area is creating a situation where something absolutely could go wrong. Also, genuinely asking: is leaving a husky outside overnight because “it likes the cold” actually considered okay? I know huskies tolerate cold weather better than most dogs, but this dog was soaking wet and wandering around unsupervised. Taking a peek at their patio? I also see there’s a dog cage outside…
I recently started a new job downtown and wanted to weigh the pros and cons of living downtown cle or in lakewood. For context, I'm a 22-year-old college grad who's lived on the east side of Cleveland for most of my life. Would love any help or suggestions for where to move! Lakewood: Pros: Price of rent is much cheaper. More diverse and young area where I’d assume I’d have more fun. Lots of cool shops, restaurants, and bars. Experiencing the west side would be new for me. Cons: Would have to drive to work, would only be about 15 minutes though. Apartments seem to be older and in worse condition. Might suck during the winter. Downtown Pros Walkability to work (15 min) and won’t have to use my car nearly as much as in Lakewood. Apartments seem to be newer with higher levels of security, and more amenities. Closer to sports games (browns/guards/cavs) and the flats. Cons: Downtown has a more “dead” kind of vibe to me compared to Lakewood. Prices for rent are higher and parking costs would only drive that up. Not a lot of nature. Please help me with my decision or any suggestions! Thanks!

Seattle will spend $1.7 million in an effort to support grocery stores including a new Office of Economic Development program that will offer one-time facility and facade upgrade grants to grocers powered by Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design standards and Seattle Police Department crime data. [...] The Independent Grocers Alliance will study grocery retail conditions across eight Seattle neighborhoods to assess market demand and create an "attraction strategy" to draw new grocers into underserved areas. Those eight neighborhoods were not identified in the announcement. The $1.7 million might end up being spread pretty thinly. ~ The announcement has a budget, a consultant and a security program. It does not have a list of the neighborhoods.
