I have to go to an office downtown a couple times a week and I was thinking of taking the light rail down instead of driving, but by the time I get there (10+), the Park & Ride by the Northgate station is totally full. There's a paid lot next to it but it's pretty expensive ($15 for the surface lot, more for covered). What do people use?

The City Council hearing starts at 2:00 and as we all have seen, industry is lobbying up a storm. They used the same tactics to kill a similar bill in California a couple of weeks ago, in Maryland they completely gutted the bill's protections, and elsewhere they've been able to weaken enforcement. Along with public comment, a wave of calls and emails to councilors is the best response. Public comment will probably start at 2:00 pm. You can sign up to participate remotely an hour before the hearing, or in-person once you get there. You can also send written comments to [ [email protected] ](mailto: [email protected] ). Details here . If you want to call, please do! It really makes a difference when phones are ringing off the hook. Phone numbers and a district finder are on the Seattle City Council page . There are also some good email-based actions, including Tell Seattle City Council to ban surveillance pricing — and reject all amendments that add loopholes, weaken enforcement, and carve in surveillance technologies from Washington Privacy Organizer, with a link you can click to bring up a draft email you can customize Reject the dangerous “loss prevention” amendment and pass a clean Fair & Transparent Pricing Ordinance! from Washington AI Resistance and WA People's Privacy Protect Working Families from Corporate Price-Gouging & Surveillance from Transit Riders Union, Lavender Rights Project, Queer Power Alliance, WA People Power, and WA Working Families party EDIT: u/Inevitable_Engine186 helpfully shared this link to the bill and all the amendments in a comment, and I realized I should have included it here. So now I have! Also, there's an analysis of most of the amendments in a comment here .

I'm on like day 4 or 5 of pissing chocolate rain out of my ass. It's all of the symptoms of the cyclospora illness that's been ripping assholes across the country for the past few months. I called a doctor hotline, but she said I would need to make an office visit to get tested for it. It sounds like it would involve multiple instances of squeezing some squirt into a cup. I'm not against that but for obvious reasons, I would prefer to leave the house as little as possible. (My toilet is here.) Is the Washington State Department of Health requiring testing? On the r/Cyclospora subreddit, I saw someone mentioning some doctors are prescribing the needed antibiotics if your symptoms match. This was in other states, though. Has anyone here gotten prescribed meds without having to get tested or even make an office visit?

It’s been challenging to find someone who can do this type of haircut. All of these inspos are from stylists in California or Texas 😔I’m willing to drive to Seattle for a haircut as well. Please, any suggestions would help! I have thick and coarse Asian hair. I’m from Tacoma but I don’t mind the drive to Seattle or Renton to get a haircut that I want. Please help and share any suggestions!

Interurbantrail Park between Aurora and Midvale as a location for impromptu dance parties playing Ska / Raga / Dub / Alt / Goth (not at the same time, day or nite)… as busking or just as a social meet for strangers (not to be loud or distracting to the public hopefully). Goal is to bring people out… THOUGHTS & CONCERNS PLEASE??
