The article is based on the new study from The Pew Charitable Trusts. The study developed a gap-to-expenditure ratio to measure a state’s projected funding shortfall compared to its planned maintenance spending. Pew calculated each state’s ratio by dividing its projected 10-year-funding gap by its 10-year-highway maintenance expenditures as reported in each state’s Transportation Asset Management Plan submitted to the Federal Highway Administration in 2022. Oregon's gap-to-expenditure ratio was ranked second worst in the nation, where as Washington was 8th worst. It’s been a challenging to find someone who can do this type of haircut. All of these inspos are from stylists in California or Texas. I’m willing to drive to Seattle for a haircut as well. Please, any suggestions would help! I have thick and coarse Asian hair.
Decked out ICE suv spotted this morning on 5 north and I think he took an hov exit after I lost sight of him. Stay safe and Vive la Résistance!
I bought a house that requires some light masonry / chimney repair. Who do you like for brick/mortar/chimney work? Inspection findings I want addressed: - CHIMNEY HAS SOME DETERIORATING BRICK/MORTAR - NO CRICKET INSTALLED - CHIMNEY HAS NO CAP/SPARK ARRESTOR
Trees in coastal temperate rainforest spared from the chopping block The Elwha Legacy Forests Coalition essentially bought out the rights to harvest 29 acres of state forests from a logging company. https://washingtonstatestandard.com/2026/09/21/trees-in-coastal-temperate-rainforest-spared-from-the-chopping-block/
Sorry for yet another tourist post lol Flew all theway from seoul and here for about a week, but I have the whole day free today and wanna actually explore Seattle downtown I’m definitely going to Pike Place and I wanna stop by the original Starbucks to get a mug, but that’s literally all I have planned If you could only recommend like 3-4 things to do/see/eat in Seattle, what would you pick? I might honestly just follow whatever you guys tell me haah Food recs are welcome too just no Korean/Asian food since I can get plenty of that back home 😂 I do love boba though so boba recs are an exception I’ll be around downtown but don’t mind going somewhere else if it’s worth it!
Hey all! I’ve been working remotely since I moved here and I realize I need to change it up a bit for the winter time or I’m never going to leave home lol any recommendations for favorite coffee shops or other places to work remotely out of in Shoreline/Edmonds/Lynnwood/Mountlake Terrace area? I would LOVE to work somewhere by the water but seems like I’d have to go down to Green Lake or Gasworks for a view. But if there’s any spots I haven’t found yet - feel free to drop below!!
It happened yesterday around 4pm at Renton, near 167 entrance by the Popeyes. I was there at scene trying to make a left turn. All in a sudden I noticed 3 cars had the “police lights” on, no siren, just inner light strips. Thought there might be something wrong going on. They were forcing a car into the parking lot, and when the blue car parked, bunch of cops-looking people just dropped down, opened his car door and cuffed him(seems like, I made my left turn at that time). It’s weird cuz they were wearing balaclava and the vests just look off to me, with no ID badge and just, not ordinary cops. But idk if this is true.
Anyone have a recommendation for same day photo studio (either DIY or with a photographer) on the eastside? Today is my baby’s 100 day and I wanted to get some semi-professional photos. I’m visiting from out of town and didn’t book anything in advance. Staying in downtown Bellevue and don’t have a car so prefer eastside. If any amateur photographer has some spare time today, pls send your info/portfolio and let’s meet up! Budget is $200 Thanks yall in advance
