Visiting Seattle for the first time on Halloween weekend—any advice? Hey everyone, me and two friends are planning to visit Seattle in late October over Halloween weekend. It was the only time that worked for all of us with our work and school schedules. We’re all 21, and this will be our first trip to Seattle, so we want to experience what the city has to offer, including nightlife. We’ve looked into some places and activities and have a rough idea of what we want to do, but since our time is limited, I wanted to ask for advice. Are there any places, stores, restaurants, or Halloween events you’d recommend checking out? We’re also looking for hotel suggestions. I eventually want to move to Seattle myself and plan on visiting more in the future, but I want to make the most of this first trip with my friends. Any advice or ideas would be appreciated!

It’s my girlfriend’s birthday tomorrow and I want to take her out for tiramisu cake at around 6–8 PM. Looking for a cute/cozy bakery or café with a nice interior , good atmosphere, and preferably tiramisu cake. Not looking for a full dinner. Any recommendations?
They’re still working out the kinks but the setting, weather, and food was perfect
New to the area and looking for some local 21+ shows/venues that have some good moshing action/energy. Feel free to recommend any local artists for this as well!
Last week there was a post here about a local coffee shop with an open toilet in the room behind the counter . If that was the Pike street location, it looks like they had an inspection last Tuesday showing non-critical violations for cleaning of food contact surfaces and construction/cleaning of toilet facilities. The safety rating is based on the last two routine inspections, so they're rated as "good."
I am officially engaged to the love of my life as a I proposed at Myrtle Falls at Mount Rainer on Sunday right at sunrise!! Thank you for everyone who wished the best of luck!! I know a lot of people downvoted my last post and were talking crap about the plans I had regarding time, weather, and everything but I’m so glad I didn’t listen. This proposal went perfect, and as my photographer said, “just go for it”. It was perfect !! Here’s the video below!!!
What route should I take what stops should I make? Thanks I advance!
Does anyone have any intel about what’s happening at this daycare? We’ve been loving it here but there’s a lot of turnover and we’re feeling very concerned. So many of our favorite teachers are leaving. Signed, Sad mama
Under RCW 46.61.370(1) , drivers traveling in the same direction as the bus must always stop when the red lights are flashing and the stop paddle is extended. Under RCW 46.61.370(2) , drivers traveling in the opposite direction do not have to stop if the highway has: 1. Three or more marked traffic lanes, OR 2. A physical barrier, OR 3. A median island. If you are on a standard two-lane road (one lane in each direction with no center turn lane), drivers in both directions must stop. I had some complete idiot use his company vehicle to block both lanes of traffic right in front of me with zero warning while I was hauling a 20klb excavator and nearly flattened this guy. We were not required to stop. Yes I got out and gave him an ear full and yes I reported him to his company for being a complete moron. I could have went to prison for life if I would have crushed his tiny little truck.
Any thoughts on the new Seattle House high-rise (2230 8th Ave)? Haven’t heard much discussion about it and I’m curious what the pros and cons are.
