Hey folks, I am looking to cut my overgrown medium long hair but I want to still keep a medium length look. Unsure on which barber to go to as I am new to Seattle and most places seem like they only wanna do a fade and send me along my way. For all the folks with great barbers, please share some wisdom, tq :)

I’m currently living in Oregon with my dad and I’ve been seriously thinking about moving out on my own. I’d like to stay in the PNW, so right now I’m mainly considering Portland** or **Seattle. One of the biggest reasons I want to move is that I want to start taking fashion/clothing more seriously. I’m interested in getting involved in the industry, but I’m still pretty early in the process and don’t have a formal fashion education or much professional experience yet. I’m especially interested in things like styling, vintage/archive clothing, alternative fashion, retail, fashion content. I’m not necessarily expecting to move somewhere and immediately get a fashion career. I’m more interested in being somewhere where I can meet people, go to events, work entry-level jobs, find creative communities, shop for/archive clothing, learn from people already in the industry, and gradually build connections and experience. I’d really like to hear from people who live there about what the actual day-to-day fashion/creative scene is like, especially if you’re involved. Thanks.
Hi! I'm going to be moving to Seattle this weekend, I'll be in SLU for about a month then looking to move into a longer term place probably in West Seattle. Any recs for making friends or stuff to do in either area? It's my first time moving out of Utah and I don't have family or friends in WA so I'd love to find people to hang out with but feeling a bit anxious about it since I'm quiet and introverted. A bit about me: I'm 27M, an engineer for work I like outdoorsy stuff like hiking, backpacking, paddle boarding, fishing and would like to try out climbing or mountaineering in WA Also like soccer, ultimate frisbee, and reading and looking to go to Rush and Zappa concerts coming up Thanks for any recs or ideas :)
I’m currently pregnant (2nd trimester, 2nd baby) with some serious tailbone and round ligament pain, as well as some questions about pelvic floor (not completely emptying my bladder). Business and specific provider recommendations are very appreciated! I prefer to stay in West Seattle or close. I saw a PT at Swedish Cherry Hill for similar issues during my last pregnancy, but didn’t love them.
I have a Breville Barista Express at home. I enjoy making lattes, both hot and iced. We typically do 8-12oz drink sizes. Looking for where to buy beans that have chocolate, nutty, and/or caramel notes. We most recently had a bag of Elm Coffee 9 Swans Seasonal Coffee from Elm Coffee Roasters that we purchased from Narrative Coffee in Everett. We enjoyed this bag! They are currently sold out at Narrative. Looking to buy the 9 Swans again in person if another coffee shop has it (would prefer not to do online subscriptions for now), ORRRR I'm open to trying a new recommendation! Something that works with whole milk for lattes. Love when the espresso comes through the milk but still works together with it. Don't love very acidic or fruity notes for beans. We live in the Lynnwood area so nothing in the Tacoma, Renton areas, etc - too far of a drive lol! Thanks so much. Also, looking to buy a bag asap**! 🤩
They end up becoming super uneven after awhile and it legit feels like being on a teeter totter sometimes. I get a bit nauseous on some busses because of it. The new roads on Eastlake are already uneven and just jacking up my back as the bus rides there, and riding on them on a bike absolutely sucks. I wish something can be done about how they're built, or that we can ask for maybe something more longer lasting or permanent. https://preview.redd.it/9had6cuwtzqh1.png?width=1966&format=png&auto=webp&s=0246b059850cf3263ced407336252088084b9593

In disturbing news, a mod of r/BellevueWA is wholesale banning anyone who has written a comment critical of ICE in a post notifying the community of local activity . They also deleted most of the comments they disagreed with while retaining the comments in support of ICE, even the ones that violate their own community rules they claimed I have violated by writing, “Show your faces, cowards.” (I’m pretty sure the comment they left up of a user calling someone a “far-left terrorist” violates their community rules.) Just because a mod disagrees with a user is not grounds to ban. This is a moderator weaponizing their power to silence those they disagree with, and it’s not okay.
Does anyone know why they closed so abruptly? It was open for such a short time - but seems “temporarily closed” indefinitely.
We have quantum fiber internet and for a while it was great! But now it continually drops and buffers. It’s impossible to watch a tv show or work from home. We changed the DNS like others have suggested but it is only moderately better. Any other suggestions?
