Does anybody have experience picking up a towed car from Seattle Impound in south SODO? If you have the keys and cash to pay for the tow fee (it was towed two days ago), do they really care about seeing proof of registration? Proof of registration is in the glove box of the vehicle. However, I'm not sure if my parents ever transferred the title of ownership over to me, which they told me they were thinking about doing a couple of months ago when they bought their new house (insurance reasons). It was in my dad's name. I'd rather not have to bother them with any of this. But I also don't want to waste a trip over to the impound lot if they're just straight up not going to give me the car. I also have possession of both sets of keys, so my parents can't even pick it up unless I also go with them.

A friendly reminder and FYI that emoto ebikes are not allowed on the water taxi! I witnessed 4 teens with emoto bikes crash out and flick off a water taxi employee after being denied water taxi boarding this afternoon. I hadn't seen much about this before so figured I'd share!

Heads up to the community, I spotted ICE agents searching a vehicle around 2:45pm today (09/20) in the Bellevue/Redmond area. The incident has been reported to our local Eastside rapid response group and I’ve received confirmation that they are following up. I’ve been asked not to share the specific location as they are still actively investigating, but was informed that this is the 3rd detention reported in the last hour for this area. Please be safe and report any activity you notice to Indivisible WA8: https://www.indivisible-wa8.com/what-to-do-and-not-do-when-you-suspect-youre-seeing-ice-activity/

Imagine you have a friend or relative who lives overseas. They ask you, "Why do you live in Seattle, and why do you like it (assuming you do like it)?". How would you answer that? P.S. Let's focus on the living part, not the working part . Let's assume you could find a comparable job in another state (with a salary adjusted accordingly), or that you work remotely and your job isn't tied to a specific location.

Boring weekend day and my minds been on the fire at Overlook at Westridge a week ago. I used to live at this god forsaken place so I’m curious if anyone has details of what happened. The WSB posted about it but didn’t have any details. https://westseattleblog.com/2026/09/major-fire-callout-in-highland-park/
