What’s the best way to find social groups around here? I’m looking for any of the following a run club, basketball league, book club, or bar trivia night but having trouble finding anything near Redmond on the volo or meetup apps that I tried. Looking for something to do during the week after work.

I’m moving from Portland to Seattle for work and I absolutely love the shoreline area. However, I see conflicting opinions on Aurora Ave. Incidentally..several properties I’m looking at are located right on Aurora. Is there a section of Aurora I should avoid? Right now in Portland I live on peninsula park and I have people pooping on my porch, harassing me as I unload groceries, sleeping in the laundry room etc. I love walking in the mornings but probably wouldn’t in my current neighborhood until well after in gets light. It’d be great to get a bit of a break from that kind of vibe though I know nothing is perfect. But just a little less depressing would be great:-)

Anybody else seen graffiti like this? This was in front of my house in the Crown Hill/Greenwood area. Probably/hopefully not meant for my family specifically but you never know these days.

My wife lost a white tennis bracelet at SeaTac( by the baggage carousels) today September 20th that I just gave her and I hoped she would pass down to our future kids. Please internet if you could help spread the word - it meant the world to her I am offering a $200 reward if found

Thinking of making a move and wondering about how parents feel about the schools. Happy to hear any and all comments on Lakewood schools, but in particular parents who went from private to Lakewood schools. Wondering how your kid(s) adjusted, how it's going, etc. Open to hearing all experiences, but for context: our daughter is lower-age elementary school, only child, and we'd be moving from a different part of Cleveland, so she'd still be able to retain old friends, transition dance studios, etc. Thanks!

I really wanted to become a regular customer/member at Lynnwood Bowl and Skate, but my experience with management has been unacceptable. I have been trying to establish a High Roller membership since late July. Their $80 monthly payment system repeatedly failed, even though they successfully charged the separate $5 annual membership fee. I repeatedly contacted the membership manager by email and voicemail with no response. I eventually escalated the matter to the general manager on September 12--and as of September 20, I still have received no response. What's especially frustrating is that membership questions seem to be gatekept through one person. Front-line staff aren't equipped to answer basic membership questions or resolve membership problems, leaving customers with virtually no avenue for help when the membership manager is unavailable or unresponsive. I have literally been trying to give this business $80 a month, and I've spent nearly two months trying to get someone to help me do it. This is so the opposite of what I expected when I decided to join in this sport/past time, which I otherwise observed to be such a diverse and welcoming community! At this point, I think Lynnwood Bowl & Skate needs a serious management overhaul. The rink itself may have a lot to offer, but good facilities don't mean much when basic communication, accountability, and customer service are this poor. I'm so beyond frustrated.
