Every single time I go to the movies, this lady stands outside the parking garage with a giant umbrella, a mask, and a coat, even though it is the middle of the summer. She also seems to have like 10 empty boxes of juice at a time? She’s not doing anything bad/wrong or hurting anyone, just wondered if anyone knew what she is doing during these hours and why.

Hey all. I am looking at volunteering for King County SAR. I’m stuck between a couple of options. I work full time Fri, Sat, Mon, Tues. I am interested in Explorer SAR, but worry that I wouldn’t be able to juggle the 6 month training course with work. What is your experience with that? My other options would be working with the incident report team. Just wanting to get my foot in the door. Is this usually less of a commitment? Do people who do this still feel fulfilled by this? I’m also super interested in Seattle Mountain Rescue. This would be something I’d peruse later down the line. I need a bit more experience first. I have 2 years glacier experience & backcountry skiing experience, but not as much with technical rock. Anyone have any advice of what I can work on to get to the point where I could volunteer for Mountain Rescue? That would be the end goal for me. Also, a bit off topic but what is your opinion on Volunteer Ski Patrol? I worked at Steven’s Pass as a ski instructor and loved it. I have always wanted to work with Ski patrol, but don’t want it to be my full time job as I already have a career going. Do you have advice between crystal mountain and snoqualmie for volunteer ski patrol positions as a 20 year old female? Culture & opportunities to learn? Thanks!

Hi, me and my sister are getting a chance to go Seattle (17-31 Oct) for what feels like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Given so many options of things that can be done in and around Seattle, it's becoming overwhelming to plan. I thought of going to National Parks as there are many good ones and that is something which is unique to here I guess. I have around 7-8 days but they are broken into 3-day chunks. First 3 days with my sister, then next 3 days alone while she attends her office, and then next 3 days again with her. I was thinking of covering a different city in each of these periods but I am unable to decide if it will be too much? Should I just spend the entire time in and around Seattle or visit other states? I don't think I will get this opportunity again to come so I want to maximize it. Can someone please help me? What will be the best way to spend these 7-8 days?

Hi Everett I've lost contact with my fiance of 3 years who last worked in Everett for a while now. He isn't active on any of the social media I have of him either. He only moved there from Texas this year so there's no acquaintances there. Last I heard of him, things were dire (lost job and housing). I'm worried that he might be dead, arrested or for some reason ghosted me. Has there been any unidentified death of a 25 y/o man in the area lately? Additional note: I do not live in the states so phone call/text isn't our main method of contact

Let’s get a new Everett tradition going? I see any vehicle and I flash the peace sign followed by a 5 finger wave. I LOVE EVERETT!!!!!!!

Gregoire pointed to high corporate taxes and a high cost of living that makes it harder for companies to retain employees. Permitting for new housing and infrastructure takes too long, she said, and downtown Seattle's 35% commercial vacancy rate projects a bad image. [...] It is backed by $1 million in contributions from the civic organization Challenge Seattle, of which Gregoire is the CEO. Smith said Washington is in the top 10 states for almost every tax, and increasingly, in the bottom 10 for the factors that attract and retain new businesses. ~ The group funding this plan is the same group asking for a more competitive tax structure. Read the 20 points and decide who they are for.
