I (30F) recently started a new job in South Lake Union. My workplace closes relatively late (10-11pm or so), and unfortunately all of the employee parking spaces in the building are already taken. As a result, I’ll need to walk about 10 minutes to a parking garage a few blocks away after work. The garage itself seems clean and reasonably safe, but I’m more concerned about the walk there, particularly when I’m leaving late at night. For people who know SLU well, how does the area generally feel late at night? Is there usually enough foot traffic, or does it get pretty deserted? I’d especially appreciate perspectives from people who regularly walk around the area at night. I’ll obviously be staying aware of my surroundings and taking normal precautions, but I’d like to get a better sense of what the area is actually like from people who know it. Thanks!

Does anyone know where the closest gas stations selling ethanol-free gas are to North Tacoma?
Taken from Leschi does anybody know what mountains these are?
Great news! Washington is ranked the best state for teachers in terms of pay and benefits. https://www-fox13seattle-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.fox13seattle.com/news/washington-best-state-teachers.amp?amp_gsa=1&_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQIUAKwASCAAgM%3D#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=17896535920079&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fox13seattle.com%2Fnews%2Fwashington-best-state-teachers Somewhat discouraging news: Washington is ranked 31st in K-12 education. We're 31st in high school graduation rate and 35th in college readiness. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/rankings/education/prek-12 Genuinely awful news: Tacoma is in the bottom half of the state for math and reading proficiency. https://www.publicschoolreview.com/washington/tacoma I'm happy for the teachers and all, but I'm getting a little tired of not seeing results.
another round of legislating our way out of prior legislation's consequences
Wanting to hear from Millennials who grew up in Seattle (includes GSA). Maybe you left for college and moved back, or moved for a job but returned home, or maybe you’ve lived here your whole life. What’s your take on how your hometown has changed over your lifetime, particularly in the tech boom and mass transplant years?
Heya. I run a trans/queer combat sports group that focuses on the 8th-11th century. We use full metal (blunted of course) weapons and teach historical martial arts from the time. As the weather turns, we can't be practicing on bad ground, or without coverage since our equipment rusts easily. Normally our group just trains in various parks, but as we've gotten more people, the normal overhead shelters are no longer large enough to contain us (can get a dozen plus people per practice), and we need to look for a proper indoor venue that is willing to either lent us or let us rent their space. Ideally a 20X20 or larger. The biggest issue is our budget is extremely small (It's coming out of our pockets), so that limits us from the community center n the like. Y'all have any suggestions?
Haven't lived in Seattle for twenty years. Walking to the bus stop in the rain and hearing the classical music used to be one if my favorite things.
Anyone have ratings of Watermark and Park 16 apartments? A lot of families seem to be there and wondering about safety and how people like living there?
Near Corky's 6:15am, sounds like a huge plane flying overhead for about 15 mins. The hum is quiet enough you wouldn't notice if you had the tv on or were doing other things, but dang is it loud if you are meditating.
