This cool website shows you how many birds passed through a given region (e.g. King County) overnight. https://birdcast.org/migration-tools/migration-dashboard/ A good reason to keep your exterior lights OFF during migration. Artificial light disorients birds trying to navigate. 884,900 Birds have crossed King County so far tonight (est.) Starting: Wed, Sep 16, 2026, 7:20 PM PDT

Hello neighbors! Hope you are all well. Admin, I hope this is alright to post for our Japanese teacher. If anyone is looking for a Japanese tutor or lessons, our family has been learning Japanese from a Japanese teacher and she is welcoming new students to teach. She is very patient and kind, and experienced in many ways. We were able to use Japanese a lot when we visited Japan last time, and she is also tutoring my daughter who has been taking Japanese at high school. If anyone is interested in learning Japanese for your trip, school, work or personal interest, please feel free to message me. I am happy to share her contact details. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Back in the 90s, I used to love the black & white photography of Lance Mercer and Charles Peterson, who captured the vibrant energy of the (then) burgeoning grunge scene. Last night, I saw Dogstar (Keanu's band) at the Showbox, and took photos trying to ape Peterson and Mercer's style to give the band a proper Seattle welcome! I thought they were kind of fun, so I might as well share them with strangers on the internet.

Are there any good places in downtown Seattle where a guy could go for doing a cleanup of their face and remove blackhead and stuff? I’ve never really done that but have been told that I should do it. I’m not sure how much do they charge or what even to ask when I’m at a store so wanted to ask

At first, growing up in Washington State, I always assumed it was drivers ed cars or something but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Paying closer attention and after years of quietly trying to figure this out and stereotyping I propose that there are three types of people that do this, and all of them are very Washingtonian 😂 People with kids that long since flew the coop and they don’t give a damn. Or they have a crapload of kids. People that didn’t grow up driving, or at least not in America on freeways and are terrified every time they go to work. Literally are permanently student drivers. People that think it affords them some sort of privileged driving status.
