Getting so discouraged- I need to relocate for work but every time I find an apartment complex I’m interested in, it gets hammered in the reviews. Currently looking at the Fairways Apartments North Tacoma, but lots of car break ins and black mold reviews. Is it that bad? Where else should I look? For a short commute and safe neighborhood?

Hi! I am visiting Seattle in early November for a work trip and thought I would squeeze in some nature before being in a conference center for 3 days. Are there any good trails nearby? I’ll have a rental for a day or two. I’d also be open to visiting Bainbridge Island, but ideally checking out some of the forests or mountains in the area. Thank you!

Hi I’m getting ready to start applying for staff RN jobs at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, from out of state. I’m curious what the pre-employment onboarding process would look like, if i were to be offered a conditional job offer. Would i complete some sort of physical and drug screen at a lab local to me in my current state? Or would this be completed on-site/ in Seattle just prior to my start date, after I’d move. Any current employees who moved from out of state that can offer some insight? Thanks!

Hi! I just moved here from Ohio. Now here’s the question I’m sure has been asked a million times, how do y’all make friends? I know people say to join little clubs and get out and do stuff. Truth be told most of my hobbies I’ve always done solo and in the comfort of my own home. I’m very shy at first and that’s been one of the hardest adjustments being in a new area - I don’t know anyone so therefore I don’t speak! I love to paint and love to hike, but I haven’t made it to any of the hikes in this state yet. I enjoy coffee shops and love reading books. I’m a 26 year old woman and would love to connect with other women here. I’m also a fan of all things spooky so with fall approaching, I want to go to pumpkin patches, paint spooky paintings, and just get out and explore new things!! I’m not big in the club scene but like to go out every now and then. If you like to paint/ play music and enjoy cozy nights in I would love to connect. Thank you for reading c:

This question is for the old heads. Does anyone remember the store De Medici Ming? It was on 1st Ave, the corner right across from SAM in a tiny space that could only hold about 3 ppl at a time. It was my absolute favorite stationary store and I just haven’t been able to find any that come close to her selection. Does anyone know of any hidden gems I’m missing either locally or not local?

UPDATE: Reunited with the owner! Lost Dogs of King County on FB was the key. She was running down Langston Rd in the middle of the street toward 132nd. Young girl, tag says her name is Lulee but the phone number on the tag is unreadable. I tried what i think the number might be but it went to voicemail. I’ll take her to a vet in the morning to see about a microchip, but please reach out if you know anyone missing their dog. I'm not certain about the breed, looks Spuds McKenzie-ish.
