I just picked up keys to my new apartment. While I was looking at the move in condition, I noticed some concerning stuff that has me hesitant to start bringing my stuff in, but I don't even know what else to do. The biggest issue is that there is a water leak under my kitchen sink, and while there isn't visible mold, I can smell it. And my allergy symptoms are already starting after being in the apartment for an hour. Also, not as big of a deal as the mold, but I'm allergic to pets, and specifically looked for a rental that doesn't allow them, but there's cat food in one of the closets. Like I said, I don't know what to do. My allergies aren't minor, they have a serious impact on my life. But my old lease is up in two weeks. And I honestly can't afford to find a new place after paying deposit and rent here. I'm also supposed to start my classes in 2 weeks. Is my landlord even obligated to do anything about it? I'm just not sure what my next step should be.

I’m looking for recommendations for a place to host a monthly networking meeting for nonprofit leaders . We usually have about 12–15 people and meet from 9–11 a.m. Ideally, we’re looking for: Somewhere in Snohomish County Coffee/breakfast or other food & drink available onsite A comfortable space where we can sit and talk for 2 hours More of a warm, welcoming atmosphere than a traditional conference room Reasonably priced, since this would be a recurring monthly meeting private/semi-private meeting space We’ve considered hotels and coworking spaces, but I’d love to hear about less obvious options too like restaurants, cafés, wineries, community spaces, churches, etc. Where would you recommend? Bonus points if you’ve actually used the space for a small group meeting! TYIA!

Yeah so I don’t expect anything to come of this post, but I figured there’s not much more to lose lmao. My Alienware M17 R3 laptop and light aqua colored backpack full of clothing were stolen from my car today. I’m a college student, so the laptop is for classes/ holds a lot of sentimental photography. There’s stickers on the front of the laptop on the inside on the sides of the trackpad. I am an architecture major and a majority of my classes are online- so I need the laptop to run programs like Auto-Cad, etc. If by some insane miracle anyone sees it for sale or around, hmu. And if not and someone has a laptop they’re parting with, lmk! Thank you!

Me and my husband have been together for 10 years this December and we were thinking of taking advantage of the long break and going to Seattle and Leavenworth during the holidays in December! What is it like during this time of year? Can we still take the faerie and walk around shops? Or is it historically really icy? Any views from locals would be deeply appreciated. We are from Utah and its been such a hot summer, so we are wanting to go somewhere colder for our trip.

Hi okay this is REALLY embarrassing for me but I met a hot guy the other day I’m sitting in the park and a tall guy dressed in all black with a black wolf for a dog (imagine a goth bomb sniffer dog) walks over to the grass where a crow lands. He bends down to hand the crow a peanut, and the crow RUNS over to this man like a golden retriever whose owner returned from a tour of duty overseas. I yell “omg cute” because wdym crows run to meet their human friends despite being gifted with flight? Dark arts professor asks me if I want to feed some crows and I say hell yeah. Multiple crow families came for food and it was magical, until someone else walked by and their barking dog scared the crows up onto a power line. You were so nice to those birds and your dog and to me idk it was just such a breath of fresh air compared to some of the guys I’ve met in Seattle, I really wouldn’t be surprised if you’re taken. I was here for PAX, and obviously cosplay draws a lot of attention from people but meeting you was just a nice unassuming genuine interaction that I can’t get out of my head Anyway, if this sounds like you, hi. I would really like to know the name of the mysterious crow wizard before I leave Seattle 🖤🩷🖤

We've been with Verizon for decades, but their service has been weak lately. Considering moving to TMobile. What provider are you happy with in the area?

Pete Serrano, an unsuccessful 2024 candidate for WA State Attorney General, has been nominated by President Trump to be the next U.S. attorney for the Western District of Washington. “I will be using every tool I have to block this nomination,” Sen. Patty Murray said in a statement. “Let’s be clear about what a sham this is: After federal judges declined to appoint Serrano in Eastern Washington, this administration invented a workaround to install him anyway. Now they want to permanently install Serrano in the Western District.”
