I hope this is the right area/ allowed to post, just thought I'd throw out some awareness out there for others safety, especially for younger woman who take the public transit, or know anyone who does. Also sorry in advance for any typos and whatnot, it's been a long month, my storage unit got broken into recently, over $10k stolen so I'm pretty out of it as is prior to this incident, it's already been one hell of yr even before that. Tired. So I got pretty much sexually harassed yesterday (9/15/26) on bus 55 otw to the Tacoma mall by a bigger build, tall douche with multiple face tattoos, the ink looked to be sorta like that faded dark blueish- black hue to it, looked to be but it was also hard to tell, looked like he was a mix of like Hispanic, maybe islander like I would sorta see on the Filipino side of my family, pretty ambiguous though to tell? maybe just in general a Hispanic/Asian mix and he finally got off the Wapato park stop or stop after (near I think the Winco), in broad daylight (happened around 3:30-3:40pm I believe) and I think a few months ago when I wasn't paying attention and zoned out looking out the window he did a similar thing to some really young looking girl, most likely even a teenager she definitely looked younger than me when I briefly saw part of her side profile. For me I was wearing one of the plainest outfits before anyone asks, blue jeans, denim cap, black thick denim jacket, headphones on staring as far out the window as can be. What I mean by this is it doesn't matter what the person is wearing to this creep, but I do think it matters to this creep of how young the girl looks to him though if that makes sense. Basically he switched seats as the bus was moving (he was initially sitting in the very back left... Prob fkin scanning for his target for the day, the creep) and sat right next to me, taking up the whole seat he was in, partly in both the isle and was pressed up leaning against me on the side as well and without saying anything, even after I was like, "Uhm, DO YOU MIND?!?" cuz I'm shocked and had to verify that yeah, the bus was more than half empty when I double checked in front of me so no one should be sitting next to me to begin with, but I also backtracked and realized he was already sitting somewhere in the back before purposely moving seats (I was sitting near the back door right behind it), he was pressed right up against me and as I questioned him he started turning his head towards me and slightly like almost in front of me almost like what those creepy dolls from horror movies do and I think it took one bus stop for me to finally get over my shock and I moved to the very front, after a few stops (and yeah I could feel his eyes still on me the whole time) I could hear he pulled the rope- we are nearing or slightly passed the Wapato park stop, and far from the bus even stopping he goes all the way to the front, I was staring forwards at the road so I'm practically sitting sideways rather than facing the window and there he stands almost in front of me a few steps away from the driver, is facing backwards technically rather than towards the door to fully face me with a wide eyed stare and I look away, only for him to continue doing so, so I start to fkin glare at this absolute fkin cretin! His face doesn't flinch at all, he looked a bit tired even except for his eyes being wide fkin open. Worst part is I've seen this fker on either specifically always this route or just in general multiple Tacoma busses bc I already recognized him the moment I turned towards him and said DO YOU MIND?! He's far from hard to miss so that's exactly why I knew I've seen him before on the bus, and like I said previously I'm almost pretty certain it was him who did this same shit to another girl about 2mo ago. When he was switching seats as the bus was moving from where he was in the back left I could FEEL his weight almost shaking the bus and he practically crashed down into me. I filed a report but yeah, just bc I didn't know if he had a weapon and didn't wanna take my chance on a bus (not to mention all at the same time from the shock I was like wait, was he THAT GUY), plus I was also just tryna keep my distance as a number 1 priority, I didn't think to take a picture of him. I realize now I really should have bc I'm definitely FAR from the only one whose recognized this fkin absolute creep if you've taken the bus even just a handful of times around this area and it makes me sick to my stomach thinking he probably does this not just on the bus to girls but also people at that park too!! And anyone near the neighborhoods there. But I've only been on that route a few times and I already recognized him enough prior to that because he stands out sm even though he always appears to wear a black hoodie from the times I've seen him before this and he also doesn't really say anything pretty much at all, I didn't smell the presence of any drugs on him if that also helps, not weed nor the more hardcore stuff as that shit is pretty hard to miss. He definitely targets smaller/younger looking girls if I'm basing it off of what I saw in my peripheral the one day I barely managed to spot him sit next to that girl about 2 mo ago and even though I'm late 20s most people think I'm actually like 14-18 (fk my family genes and never growing stature fr) so its even more creepy in that way bc whose to say he doesn't, if not already has done this shit to actual fricken children. I wish I was like a mma fighter, I so would take my chance with jail if it meant I could take him down at the very least... Thankfully I'm moving cities pretty much in a few days after this but my second week being in Tacoma it was raining and I was walking a few blocks away from where I lived on Pacific avenue for coffee when another douchebag walking opposite of me and I went to the far left of the sidewalk (I was almost not even on the sidewalk anymore either to be safe) so he'd pass on the right side but then he started to angle a bit from the middle then towards my left side, sure enough as he was slowing down he was staring straight at me from the distance, went under my umbrella, put his hand on my shoulder while saying something. I almost reflexively sucker punched the douche from pure shock, bc I'm usually thankful for the presence of rain in broad daylight cuz then an umbrella kinda acts as a natural barrier almost cuz I tend to keep it very low, to where my head is almost against the top, plus I'm short so no one would ever go under my umbrella naturally since the ends of it are so low (unless they are purposely invading your space, like that situation, same thing happened to me my first day in Portland too and I just got off I think the blue max, was picking up my reduced fare pass from the building RIGHT FKIN THERE and not even a minute passes before a creep did the same exact thing) So yeah, fk Tacoma, and these ENDLESS CREEPS, soon I'm moving thankfully but in just a span of 4mo I've had incident after incident, and three cases of actual physical unwanted contact from a creep outside of a few usual creep audible sexual harassment jargon vs any other city I've lived in and in record time. Usually it's once a yr if any. But this city man, that or just the influx alone of these creeps, they are getting more and more brave I feel. These creeps rely so heavily on us to be so tired as is from daily life to say anything at the moment, to be too scared, shocked or shy to stick up for ourselves, and they also rely and acknowledge that most people don't do anything when they see it happen in front of them. It happens so fast most of the time sure but myself included, we all need to be faster and more assertive in not just our own protection but for those around us. Soon never again will I take the bus, I'm done taking that risk, too many scenarios, plus not to mention how so many drug deals happen RIGHT in the front section of the bus and even sampling, too many creeps, especially on the last busses of the night, too many of us are burnt out, maybe even too used to how many creeps there truly are that it just feels like 'another Tuesday innit' to us, but goddamn, we gotta be more assertive to these creeps, bc we are part of the problem too when we don't say or do enough in these situations.

hey everyone, my wallet was stolen tonight around midnight from the QFC on broadway + pike. i used my card, walked home, and immediately noticed it wasnt in my pocket. did a quick check of the usual places i may have set it down, then hoofed it back to QFC just in case. talk to the cashiers; no reported wallet. i leave, and immediately get a ping from cashapp telling me a purchase has been declined, at QFC. i RUN back inside, tell security, go to the registers, and see one of the cashiers i had talked to helping a customer with their transaction. theyre taking items off bc the total is too high for their card... no, for MY card. i can see its the exact same total. i say "hes trying to use my card." the cashier already knows my side of the story, so when i say "he just got declined for $38.10" and the cashier sees that number on the screen, they call security. the guy claimed to have found it in the trash. he gives me the card that declined. i say my whole wallet was missing. he hands me another card. i say, all i need is my drivers license. (there was no cash or any usable card in it so they didnt get shit). he says "its in the trash outside, you can go look." at this point security is filming and telling him hes trespassed. we get outside and he walks past the trash to this guy with a big aggressive dog (german shepherd) that starts barking immediately. the guy had backup for this heist. says its actually in a different trash, his friend can tell me where. his friend makes some noises and then he says "its in the trash by hot mamas. come with us, we'll show you." PLEASE! so, im down a wallet, but i didnt follow them to get further robbed, and i hope this serves as a lesson for others: DO NOT EVER GO TO A SECOND LOCATION. anywaaaayyy, if anyone finds my wallet or missing cards PLEASE let me know. it was a little brown leather no-fold card holder. my drivers license is the only thing i really need back. youll know its me by the pink hair and a beard, or anything with the name CODY on it! THANKS & STAY SAFE SEATTLE!

Me and a friend are traveling to Seattle together from out of state in late November. I will be going to a show at WAMU. We are going to explore the city together before the show, however, my friend will not be attending the show with me, and I am unsure of where a safe area for a 19 year old girl to sit alone at night near WAMU is. I thought of restaurants or hotel lobbies, but I worry that they might kick her out if she’s there for too long. Her safety is my #1 concern. Does anybody know any good, safe locations, very close to WAMU, where she could sit for a few hours and wait for my concert to be over? If there aren’t any good options, I might just convince her to buy a ticket to the show and come with me.

I live in Melbourne, Australia and this year I am visiting elderly relatives for Xmas (Dec 24/25/26 only) in Gig Harbour. We arrive mid-Dec to early Jan. We are planning to pack appropriate rain/snow clothing but probably not spike boots. We have five days either side to enjoy the winter wonderland, given it’s not the greatest time to visit, we want to make the most of it. Anyone have any suggestions or advice for a couple with no kids? Are there any EDM clubs, unique/interesting bars/hotels, unusual museum/sites or activities that might not show up on the regular search engines? We aren’t adverse to a bit of driving but it would be nice not to. Is there an accessible lighthouse nearby, interesting historical property or groundbreaking art displays, etc? That might be worth a days drive at this time of year? Maybe a not too far ski resort that might have good food/live music? We like rock music (80s on up but not disco), theatre, comedy, etc - just looking for something memorable and good in cold weather. Is McMenamins good or ridiculous? The flight museum looks like a half day. A hockey game is on. There are some interesting food/ghost tours. Maybe Christmas light tours. Share your insight with us?

Hi, I recently moved to Seattle and am looking for an Asian, board-certified doctor to establish as my primary care provider. Preferably male. Please let me know if anybody has recommendations! Thanks in advance!

I was sitting across from you on level 5, but you were called to your appointment before I had the nerve to say anything. There are not many younger people there, so seeing someone as pretty as you, around my age, going through something similar, I would like to have the chance to talk to you.
